NPC behavior - Unrats docking with dent to rep
The unrat sector rats should fight till 25% then turbo back to their dent to dock - probably harder to implement than the voys doing their thing with stations but it would be pretty cool.
If such behavior gets added to the mission editor twould be another thing to give the universe more depth. could create a mission where you have to hold out with NPC's for 10~15m while some other NPC's extract ore.
TL;DR: more complex NPC behavior = more gameplay depth yes pls!

Hmm. The current Unrats are still hand-written Lua.
They could be mostly re-implemented in the Persistent Event (mission editor) system, and I think that already has the ability to respond to damage levels.. although I don't remember right now how fine-grained it is in terms of behavioural options.
But, I agree, more interesting NPC behaviour is good.
Although, if one did this, it might also be pretty trivial to keep the "pirates" at bay and simply ding them enough to constantly be re-docking. Since they take a little while to fly back and dock. Would lead to less "combat pressure" on the players.

Currently they sit ~1000m away from the player only to get sniped by missiles, the only real combat pressure happens when you get too close to the den't with the escorts still up.
As it stands the unrat/dent sector rats are pretty tame relative to thr wh sector rats.
