Unrats/blockade changes
Characters without the military flag oughta be exempt from blockade shenanigans until they hit ~5/5/5/5/5
Unrats should ignore newbs/characters below ~5/5/5/5/5 and give them a random "You're not worth out time leave the sector or we'll splode you for your tasty giblets" type message and should only agress after a ~2m timer to give the poor newbs running datapad missions a chance.
Essentially makes greyspace less unforgiving, in it's current state the blockade/unrats effectively dissuade newer players from going there hopefully these changes probably wouldn't hurt newb retention.
by the time a newb has unlocked the fast charge the blockade/unrats become much more feasible to penetrate (Afaik it's impossible to do with the free cell unless the player in question is experienced) newbs running the early missions with EC's can be effectively shut out of greyspace entirely which makes for less player interactions/chance they'll find someone to mentor them.

I do at bare minimum fancy the premise of a warning hail for players below a certain level before they get freight trained, but I think the cap being 5/x/x is too high. Maybe 3/3/3/3/3? Anyone in the 4 range should already be well aware of the danger and as you said, somewhat okay-equipped to deal with it, but it's been a while and I don't really know how the newbs are these days.
+1 to the blockade thing, though. Give em n00bs a chance to taste the unforgiving maw of greyspace without getting blowed up the crick right off the first sector.

It is a blockade into a grey space. -1 If anything, they should shoot everything going in and out. There is already a magical transport from GR/Eo to Dau and back. People can take that when they qualify.
Unrats should ignore newbs/characters below ~5/5/5/5/5
Essentially makes greyspace less unforgiving,
Grey space is supposed to be terrifyingly dangerous. Huge -1. Casual pilots should not be there. Greyspace should not be unforgiving. It should be imposing. It is currently still too easy for newer players. Why should the devs make it even easier?

Couldn't edit my post. Was trying to add this quote to it:
"Grayspace is dangerous. Like it says in the tutorial.
It's going to become more dangerous. Some players are way too used to conceptual safety in that region, especially some with capships."
