Raptor buffs

Both the Raptor and the MkII have shit base speed relative to the base vulture variants despite higher requirements.

mass 3900 -> 3800
speed 55/60ms -> 65m/s

The proposed changes hopefully aren't too much of a pain in the ass to implement and won't displace the UDV but they'd go a long way towards making the raptor more viable for a buncha stuff.

Giving the mkII 1000 extra hitpoints and bumping the light weapon req to 5 wouldn't hurt either given how bulky raptors are and afaik there aren't any raptor mkII npc spawns so there's no risk of upsetting player progression/balance there, giving them all a baked in addon scanner wouldn't hurt either.

While I'm at it the cargo scanner on the UDV is a bit silly from a lore point of view but hey maybe the UIT are just as opportunistic as corvus's special interest division... :P

To compensate for this terrible loss and to mitigate any whining from pirate UDV enthusiasts it giving it a central small port would probably make for something disgustingly effective at running capships and traders down.

If that last suggestion gets implemented it would be really spiffy if the UDV was rewarded for completing the assassination mission or something equally dubious/difficult that tanks standing and/or imposes some steep fines, that way the ultimate capship bustin' subcap is made available to the serco/itani in a much more limited fashion, after all the golds are after profits they don't really care who's buying!

Well, the Raptor generally has better radar in "fogged" environments, which was intended to become more relevant.. especially in grayspace, when changing the universe to move towards more statically fogged "reefs" that block traffic across major areas of space.. essentially moving "storm" experiences from "random possibilities" to "known and planned-for certainties".

Clearly, it's been a really long time since my original post on the concept, but I think it isn't too far off now. So, basically, I think the radar-extension stuff is going to become more relevant.

Which then begs the question of: What trade-offs are more worthwhile? Short-term speed, or enhanced visibility under some conditions?

If the radar extension stuff's going to become more relevant give them all a massless baked in shared radar extenders, that'll tip the scales and they'll definitely see more use then.

While I'm at it the shared radar extender really needs a mass buff, sacrificing a port for sensor buffs is a huge tradeoff getting slapped with 2000kg of mass on top of the lack of a weapon in the given port is a pretty severe handicap since in VO your best defense is more often than not killing the opponent before they kill you or running. A spaceboat with a heavy radar extender/shared group radar can't do either of those and with the state of player capships what would otherwise be a cool role/loadout is completely irrelevant/useless.

The low base speed is their second biggest disadvantage after the large profile in typical pewpew encounters (and I've never seen anyone pewpew-ing with anything else than the UDV since I've returned).
