make mining worthwhile
minimum and maximum prices of ore are a good idea
but the minimum price is too low and takes too long to go back up
If I sell helio (for example) to a station the price crashes and takes days to recover

Could you expand on some of the thought behind this? Do you think that mining isn't a good enough way to make money and needs to be buffed? Any thoughts about how this might impact player behavior, and why the changes to behavior would be a good thing?
Based on the lower risk, lower initial cost, and lower user attention/engagement/work vs trading (no investment in shiploads of product, no risk of losing all that investment if you die, less piloting), it makes sense that mining should be somewhat less profitable. I think there is some value in stabilizing ore prices a bit, since all new players/miners are essentially competing against each other for the price of 5-ish ores, whereas trading commodities has tens of items. However, I think there's a risk of making capship mining OP. If an Atlas load of ferric becomes worth the time, then a capship that can mine more ore faster could be too strong. Also, there's a possibility that if more people are mining to sell to stations, that could reduce the availability of rare ores for manufacturing, since those rare ores would be a higher priority for profits.

also, how would this then need to be changed *again* once the mining redux occurs?
