would be nice if this game had an option to sort and filter parts of the inventory like station inventory so that we can more easily find what we want. Would also be nice if you added a search bar to look for specific items instead of having to go hey this station might have it or the station might have it.

Having a sort system and having a search-system are two different Suggestions (note the Suggestions Forums rules around this).

When it comes to a sort system, are you talking about your own station inventory, or what items the station has for sale?

What kind of sorting would you want, specifically?

specifically I would like the player inventory to be sorted, perhaps sorted by type or other options or just have all those options available for sorting this includes the station inventory player storage

The inventory is already sortable by location and item type. Above the inventory display is a drop down box where you can select Location or Type. This defaults to Location.

If you weren't aware, each item in the inventory display can be expanded by double-clicking or double-tapping on the item to see what items are at the location or to see where the items of a type are located.
