An EC with same stats as 104 but has a large port instead of small port.

What about a budget mining craft? EC-99/100/102. 1 large port, 22 - 30 cu, 100m or 200m integrated mineral scanner, knock off some thrust, spin, turbo thrust, and max turbo. 1-2 mining license. Could have a niche over the Revenant, by not requiring trade license and having similar cargo hold. Would still be quickly outclassed by other vessels

I really don't think "crystal free large port platform" is a good enough reason for a new EC variant to exist. I mean, I'd love a single large port ship in general, don't get me wrong, but wanting something unique (Micro ships are good for "small space" combat, which VO is... unfortunately, not focused on, even if its really fun) and it having an appropriate reason to exist are a bit far apart. If you're low on crystals, either just grind up just enough to get a ship with a large port, then continue grinding in that, OR adjust why you're getting low so it is less of an issue.

As for making it a budget mining vessel... we have those? Sure, the EC is cheap, but all ships are cheap (which is how we promote experimentation here), especially the lower licensed ones. Why wouldn't someone just get a mining hog or basic revenant or even _just_ use a standard/ITC/other EC? At that point, the benefits of this vessel are too outweighed by convenience.

I mean sure I can adjust why I'm getting so low on crystals but that's not the exact point. I grind crystals mainly to burn when there's station fights, or general pews going & during those crystals burn fast (that is after adding the fact that I am only purchasing ships. Not any addons).

On occasions when there's pvp going & I wanna participate while I haven't done any crystal grind because of not getting the time for it, 107 comes for the rescue. But sometimes in those fights I always feel limited to small port weapons.

Kind of off topic, but this is not always the case. There are good mining locations that have hive bots trying to kill you. You can't sit and mine unless someone is shooting all the bots before they get to you.

WAF - yes off topic for one. & 2 I doubt someone's wanna take EC in that hostile environment
