Domination/rout system for Deneb.
Background: With enough players, it is possible to kill all enemy NPCs in a sector. Once they are killed, sometimes it takes upwards of a few seconds for more to spawn.
Suggestion: In cases like this, a domination mechanic should be implemented to deal with the rout of the enemy forces. A timer should appear on the screen and if the players can kill a certain number of enemy NPCs of the next wave in the time showed, the remaining kills left for the enemy should be halved.
Rewards: In addition to halving the NPC kill count, a badge with multi tiers should be rewarded. A text will be displayed similar to "Congratulations pilots, the enemy is running! Keep up the pressure!"
Exceptions: The existence of friendly/neutral player capital ships in the sector should negate this mechanic.
Positives: The awkward pauses in battle would have meaning. Groups of players would have more reasons to do Deneb together. Players who love collecting badges would flock to Deneb.
Negatives: Opposing forces have less of a chance to win a mission back. This could be frustrating.
Rebuttal to the negative: If opposing players see the same timer, an intense player vs player battle will ensue. Winning this could feel opposite of frustrating.
