Allow players to remove items from inventory remotely
In the course of playing VO it is possible and even likely that one may end up with items in a station at which they are unable to dock. In that case it would be nice to be able to remove those items somehow.
The items would simply be removed, not sold; if you wanted to get credits for selling the items you'd still need to regain the ability to dock with that station.

-1 as is. I could, however, see some measure of inventory confiscation if a player becomes non-temporarily KOS.
He isn't talking about "confiscation", he literally means a completely player-optional choice to remove inventory content, just for cleanup / management purposes.
Are you against that for some reason? Could you explain why?

In as much as possible, I would like the mechanics of the game to make sense from a role play perspective. The op doesn't immediately harm the game or affect anyone but the player removing inventory. It also doesn't have any role play applications. That is assuming that this is limited to players unable to dock. Limitations would potentially need to be made for the conquerable stations for when station looting becomes part of the game.
What I would rather see is that this is a non issue because that inventory has already been confiscated to pay for the damages the player caused which led to them being unable to dock.
That's just my opinion. Like I said, it is private transaction between the player and the game that might have future implications as the game evolves.

I wrote a similar suggestion a while back! https://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/38261
+1. I definitely think it needs a limiter on it in case someone gets access to your account and just deletes a bunch of rare/expensive gear. As I said in the other thread, you'd need either a cooldown or need to pay more and more credits to delete more items. Maybe deleting one or two wouldn't be expensive (or even cost anything at all), but then you'd have a several hour cooldown or need to pay. It also is a light punishment for cases of poor inventory management, incentivizing you to actually go to where you need to go if you are able to, and not to just use this feature as a way to lazily fix your inventory (station rent was a big one I was thinking of). I do like that this game requires you to actually be somewhere for something to get done, so I'd want that to be the ideal solution.

Disable the feature for manufactured items.
I mean if we're talking about gaining access to someone's account you can already do tons of damage in a minimal amount of time with /givemoney and selling stuff to stations; I don't think we need to design the mechanic around making it harder for a person illegally accessing your account to ruin your inventory. It's already a purely negative thing to just give up your cargo without any gain so I can't really think of a way to abuse it (on your own account) even if it's unlimited.
To be clear, I'm specifically talking about removal from a remote station, and not an undocked capship. Personally I don't think you should be able to delete anything from the cargo hold of an undocked ship; but at the very least that's a separate issue from what I initially suggested.
