Some of the veteran players have high standings with all three major nations, and this gives them the advantage of being able to use the military ships (Prometheus, Valkyrie, Raptor UDV) of all three nations. This advantage has been gained from an earlier standing system which allowed a player to have Pillar of Society standing with all nations, regardless of that player's nation. This advantage is not given to newer players, as current standing rules place a cap of 600 on other nations' standings, and does not allow one to gain Serco standing without losing Itani standing and vice versa. Thus veteran players not only have the advantage of experience (which they have earned) but also the advantage of being exempt from the standing rules (which they shouldn't have). But instead of resetting their nation standings to default, I propose the following change which will ensure correction without being unfair:

Players with standings exceeding those allowed by the current rules should be given a choice of how much standing with Serco/Itani they want to have, within the limits. The standing given to one nation will be reflected inversely with the other nation. So for example if a player chooses to have +600 Serco standing, they will have -600 Itani standing if and only if their previous standing with Itani was greater than -600. UIT standing for non UIT players will be cut straight to 600 if they had standing above it, or remain as it is if their standing is within permissible limits. So if a Serco/Itani player has +500 UIT standing, it will remain that way. However if it is +700, it will be cut to +600.

This system will ensure that veteran players play by the same rules as new players, and that they do not have an unfair advantage. They are not being deprived of their hard gained standing as they are being given a choice of how to allocate their standing. Please consider and implement as soon as possible. Also, if a player who cannot own a ship has it in storage, such as a Serco/UIT owning a Valkyrie, please remove it from storage and refund the credits which the player may have paid to buy the ship.

Concerning the the first part of your "suggestion":
Standing limitation applies to everyone vets and newbs. No one can have above 600 with all nation.
As soon as you log in the game with an old account the faction reddux applies.
If you have evidence of the contrary, report the character name to the devs with a support ticket.

Concerning the second part about ships owned before the faction reddux:
Why? What would it bring to the game?
Just kill the veteran ships, they can no longer replace them anyway.

PS: you should also make a suggestion for the people who logged during the free week and stockpiled ships without crystals. Let have them removed because it is unfair to the player who joined after the free week.

VO 1.8.214-216 has included:

Certain faction standings being mutually exclusive has been desired for a long time; this is only the first step in that factional redux, but a very important step.

I know it sounds like I'm targeting or snitching or something, but I'm honestly doing it only to remedy something I feel is wrong.

Deleting ships stockpiled during free week is different from stockpiled ships from an older rules system. The free week players did what they can technically do even without prem. Buy ships. But the stocks of now illegal Valks, Proms and UDVs is something that the players cannot to now. It's playing by a different set of rules.

So if the ships are not a result of skewed standings, I'm sorry for the suggestion. In any case, if they're not from skewed standings they're from stockpiles, which I feel should be revoked for the reason mentioned above.

Also, I'm pretty sure Axia/Valent aren't mutually exclusive above neutral. I am respected with both.

It was already fixed years ago.

Valent and Axia do impact one another, per my testing.

I was able to have Respect with both, but POS with Valent dropped my Axia Respect down to Neutral. You can have Admire with one, but that limits the other to Respect.

Serco / Itani factions are definitely negatively correlated instantaneously when one is logged into the game.

Ok...then I guess the initial part of my suggestion is invalid. But my point about deleting the illegal ships still stands. Delete the ships and refund the credits and crystals. Or, better still, remove the standing requirement at Latos, as it makes no sense to make Itani standing high for Valk or Serco for Prom if youre buying them in a TPG, Orion or Xang Xi station. Make the reps expensive maybe, or make them like double or triple standard price there.

Rule #4 - "Suggestions" is about making the game better for Everyone, not just You.

So far it seems only you have a problem with the fact a few players have some collectors.

Remember you have 6 slot for characters with premium sub you can make a character in a few hours to play with any nation ships.
Second part of your suggestion brings no improvement to the game.
