1) The Corvus Lootera/ The Corvus Hermes
Stats: Same as Prometheus basic with 1000 less armour.
Appearance: Instead of the brown/black hull, a purple/black hull
Controversy erupted when Corvus Prime released the Hermes/Lootera. Serco representatives accused Corvus of appropriating their military ship's design. While no official response came, a few days later a cryptic message reached Serco Barracks at Initros: "Armour has Lanth"
Licences: 10/10/10/7/2
Corvus Pillar of Society.
A mission available only to Itani and UIT players that involves them going to an empty sector in Dantia and recieving a blank datapad which contains the blueprints to the Prometheus.
2) The Corvus Judwa/The Corvus Loki
Stats: Same as Valkyrie basic, but with one less weapon port and 50/s turbo usage.
In a shocking scandal, the usually peaceable Order of Eo accused Corvus Prime of imitating it's classic ship, the Valkyrie. No response was forthcoming from Corvus.
Licences: 10/10/7/7/1
Corvus Pillar of Society
A mission available only to Serco and UIT players that involves them going to an empty sector in Setalli Shinas (I may have the spelling wrong here) and recieving a blank datapad which contains the blueprints to the Valkyrie.
3) The Corvus Bat
Stats: Same as TPG Raptor UDV, but with enhanced Storm Radar Extender which has 2500m range.
Rumors have been spreading that Corvus has finally managed to replicate the UIT military ship, the TPG Raptor UDV. No fuss was created, however, except for a more thorough scan of the correspondence of TPG staff, which yeilded no incriminating evidence.
Licences: 10/9/9/5/2
Corvus Pillar of Society
A mission available only to Serco and Itani players that involves them going to an empty sector in Dau and recieving a blank datapad which contains the blueprints to the TPG Raptor UDV.
I understand that here UIT players have an advantage as it is easier for them to do the blueprint fetching missions. However, this is offset by the fact that the basic Raptor can be used by other nations' players, while the basic Valkyrie or Prometheus cannot.
4) The Corvus Hummingbird
In a landmark move, Corvus Prime has released its own original ship. The Corvus Hummingbird marks Corvus Prime's move into original ship design. Observation of the ship's design indicates that it has been made from the frame of a Milanar Observer, although how Corvus engineers managed to get one without destroying it remains a mystery.
Stats:
Armour:1500
Mass: 1000kg
Weapons: 1 small
Thrust: I'm not very familiar with the thrust stat, so I'm looking for player feedback on this stat
Spin Torque: Same problem as Thrust
Volume as Cargo: 50cu
Storage:None
Top Turbo Speed:270 m/s
Turbo Energy Usage: 48 m/s
Manufactured. Manufacturing mission unocked at Sedina D14 when Combat licence 10 and Corvus Pillar of Society standing is achieved.
Requirements:
Scrap Metal
Milanar Observer Optics
Prosus Observer Optics
Siepos Observer Optics
Synthetic Silksteel
Artemis Processor Core
Guardian Processor Core
I can't fill in numbers...again, player feedback.
As indicated by the stats this ship is purely for FAST traveling and racing, so please fill in any stats I have missed accordingly. It is not OP, as it's huge speed and low energy use are offset by the fact that it can be killed by two Posi shots. It is designed to be used with the Hive Fast Charge Powercell, which afaik is the lightest power cell in the game. Its shape is similar to the Milanar Observer, as in the description.
So...I submit this idea to the mercy of the community, which as I know is merciless if it wants to tear it apart.

Rule #5
I get that it's content, but why?
I have abided by one part of Rule#5 by being thorough in my description. I'll complete the other part now.
These ships will allow access to scaled down versions of the nation military ships to everyone, without making it too easy. This will, I hope, end the endless debate on nerfing or buffing the Valkyrie, the Prometheus or the UDV. The ultimate level variants of the ships such as the Skycommand Prometheus and the Valkyrie X1 will remain exclusive to their respective nations, thus still maintaining the relevance of choosing nations. The missions required to gain these ships will not be easy, as it involves going deep into enemy territory. It can also make it such that after the datapad is picked up a strike force is set on the player, thus reducing the advantage UIT players have, although I have given a justification for the advantage.
It will create a scope for more gameplay styles for all players, I think.
The Hummingbird is to create a very small very light and most importantly very fast ship for quick traveling from point to point in the absence of the /explode method or the TempKoS method. It also has great scope in the races (not CSR) , and most of all it would be really fun to fly a ship at super high speeds.
One detail I did not fill was the cost. The cost of both the Lootera/Hermes and the Judwa/Loki will be...200k credits. The most expensive ships in the game, accessible only to the non Serco/Itani players respectively. The Bat can be...let's say 100k Credits. I don't think anyone would buy it though. I just created the Bat so no one says I'm being partial towards UIT.
Oh and I put Setalli Shinas just outa the top of my head. Then I saw the map and realised it's too deep inside Itani territory. So change it to Artana Aquilus. Dantia is three systems inside Serco territory, AA is three systems inside Itani territory.

Already have been suggested. https://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/30942
Flying one of those ship fake X1 or fake prom should get you KOS if you go into nation space with one.

I think that the better option would just be to allow players to sell proms and valks to n2, and allow players to buy them for the same licenses and what not except for nation standing
-1 But if this was to be implemented, i agree with deathspores. If you enter any monitored national space with one, you should become kos (-1000) with nation of copy cat ship you are flying.
The real thing of it is, there are already sorta/kinda knockoffs of these ships in existance already. Prom: Tungtaur/rev. Valk: Maud, UDV: TPG raptor.
And then your Hummingbird: The Superlight.

Deathspores suggestion makes sense...but KoS with that faction mustn't be a prerequisite. If you fly your knockoff there you lose standing...that makes sense.
I have never flown a Prom, but the differences in the stats of a Tungtaur and a Prom are significant. I have seen a Valk in action, and have flown all variants of the Maud, and they are nowhere similar. Just the presence of three sp doesn't make it similar. The Valk is much faster than any Maud, and much more agile. It's weapons are also closer together, which in my opinion is an advantage when you're trying to get as much damage per volley as possible. The advantage the Maud has over it is cargo space, which is largely insignificant from a combat perspective. And please read my reply to Whistler...the Bat is only as a balancing act. I don't set much value by it.
The Hummingbird is significantly different from the Superlight. It is smaller, much faster, infiniturbos on a hive fast charge and has much lower armour.

Oh and I guess I didn't make myself clear in the first paragraph. You lose standing with Serco only if you fly the Lootera/Hermes into Serco space. Flying it into Itani/UIT space will have no effect on Serco standing. Similarly for Itani with Judwa/Loki and UIT with Bat. You lose standing only if you fly the ship into the territory of the nation who's ship has been replicated.
Can you split this into a suggestion for each ship please?
+1 to The Hummingbird sounds interesting
-1 to the rest
-1 to the rest
+1 for Hummingbird. Also, the player should be disqualified for using it in CSR for the same reasons as the Corvus Greyhound.
We all float I see no reason to split it into three different threads as they are all Corvus ships, and also that writing 3 new threads is tedious. You can give your +1 or -1 to each individual ship as has been done by Drevent11 and SIGTERM.
SIGTERM I agree with you there that the Hummingbird is not to be used in CSR. It's simply too fast. Same reason as Greyhound. And I think I've written this before in my reply to Whistler at the end of the 4th paragraph.
Drevent11 I can't demand anything, but could you elaborate a bit on why you like the Hummingbird or dislike the Nationship knockoffs?

Rule #5 - Be Thorough in your Suggestion, with Each Idea in a Unique Thread.
I agree with WAF here, there are at least two ideas in this suggestion.
one about counterfeit itani and serco nation ship
one about the hummingbird.
The second will have different obtention mechanism and possession consequences than the first.

3) The Corvus Bat
Stats: Same as TPG Raptor UDV, but with enhanced Storm Radar Extender which has 2500m range.
Answer me this, Why should Corvus offer a better version of UIT's top level ship? It doesn't make sense to me. Corvus ships normally are tweaked versions of standard ships. The Hound is a hog, the corvult is a vult, and cormaud is a Marauder, and the SL is a centurion. It would (to me) make more sense that they would release specialized versions of the Revenant, and Ragnarok. Those two ship classes don't have special versions. ( i know, i know, the wraith is kind of special version of the rev, but in reverse)
For example:
The Corvus Hermes (based on the Revenant)
Variant Assault
Armor 14500
Cargo 6
Weapons 2s, 1l
Mass 10200
Length 13m
Thrust 380N
Turbo Thrust 350N
Max Speed 65 m/s
Spin torque 10 Nm
Turbo Speed 210 m/s
Turbo Energy 60/s
It would have a smidge more armor, and a bit more thrust. A true poor man's prom.
And maybe corvus could have a customized version of the rag with a built in turret on the front or something equally amusing. With no infini turbo capabilities. But it they(corvus) know what is good for them, they won't touch top nation ships. They wouldn't want the major nations to take too much notice of them. No profit in being completely annihilated.

The point is to make a ship atleast close to the Prom and the Valk. So a version of the Revenant is a completely different topic. And don't compare my version of the Hermes with a Prom basic. Compare it with the SkyProm, cuz the SkyProm and the mkll and mklll will continue to be Serco only ships. Same is true for Loki. They are nerfed versions of the basic versions of nation ships. The other variants remain limited to players of that nation.
And I'm saying this for the third time. The Bat is a filler. Even if it is used, it is buffed rather than nerfed because I (and I know many others) feel that the UDV aka the craptor is not at all comparable to the Prom or the Valk. So while Corvus nerfs other ships for cost minimisation, it buffs the Bat cuz the UIT had been pretty stingy with their design and Corvus needed to make a better ship to increase sales.
And as to your point about Corvus not messing with top nation ships. Corvus is a faction who's owners are unknown. So they have nothing to fear from the nations. And Corvus has the unofficial support of certain unaligned groups, who will protect Corvus as their only source of ships and equipment. Also Corvus in deep in Greyspace, so an attack by Serco or Itani would be difficult, to say the least.
Also...maybe we could add a "War against Drugs" kinda thing where Nations ask pilots to get rid of Corvus ships to send a message or something, while Corvus gives higher paying missions to kill the attacking ships and to reply in kind with sabotage or something. Then maybe we can have a Corvus specialized attack ship too...maybe based on the structure of a Milanar Guardian or Overseer. And a Corvus special capship made from a Queen...
Anyway, distant dreams.

Not difficult at all. The Itani and Serco routinely send large military fleets through grey space. In fact, they send all their fleets through grey ever since UIT banned them from flying through UIT space.
Corvus space is monitored space. If you are, for example, hate with the Itani, and you kill an Itani in Corvus space, Corvus will send information about that kill to the Itani, and you may find your self with a bounty on your head.
That corvus reports this info is telling. They are not a nation. They are a company, and while they are large, they don't have the resources to deal with battlefleets from both the Itani and the Serco. The Itani and Serco routinely lose Heavy Assault Crusiers and terradons in Deneb. How many times have you seen Corvus with ships like that? Pretty much zero. The largest ships they can commit to killing leviathans are tridents.
A company that can't commit anything larger than a trident to that kind of skirmish is not the force you make it out to be. I know what you are going to say. Something about Seiopos and Prosus Levi's not having larger capital ships. True, but still in Deneb, both the Itani and Serco go through Terradons like they are candy. That kind of forces would delete Corvus.
Corvus would not dare making knock off versions of national ships because of this. And thus, your hermes would have to be based on a Rev platform.

Ok first of all, I've never seen a single Serco or Itani ship in Greyspace, except perhaps in the Serco stations in Helios.
Second, the fact that Corvus is a shady company is it's strength. Like the USA never managed to completely eradicate the drug dealers, similarly Serco and Itani will fail to annihilate Corvus. And if you think about the matter, a Corvus with the support of unaligned groups armed with imitations of Proms and Valks...that's some serious power. Still not equivalent to the power of the Serco or Itani military, but the difference is offset by the Serco/Itani conflict. They are too embroiled in the war to devote too many resources to a Corvus war. Also both will never be hostile with Corvus. They hate each other too much. Also the Order of Eo is known to be pacifist. The Order of Akan...well it's a fringe group at best. Not powerful enough to send battlefleets. So the Serco are the only ones who may send a battlefleet...but won't do so cuz a) The war is pretty expensive and b)They need Corvus to do their dirty work.
And if Corvus manages to make ships out of hive bots...well it's pretty powerful. I might even let go off the idea of Prom and Valk imitations if we get Hive bot ships...but for now I stick with my point.

Then frankly, this means you are new to the game. Both the Itani and the Serco send fleets to each other borders. (Ukari and Edras). And those fleets pass through Bractus, Odia and Sedina.

Ok...I was wrong there. But please pay attention to the rest of the post instead of just this one sentence
And actually what you have said reinforces my point. If Serco and Itani ships have to pass through the Corvus-strong systems, they cannot afford to start a war with Corvus, as this effectively makes it difficult or impossible for them to blockade their enemy. If Corvus chooses to blockade a wormhole by taking help from the "unaligned" groups, it's gonna be pretty formidable. Especially if they are armed with ships that are knockoffs of the nation ships.
Btw on a completely unrelated note, are there ever NPCs in Proms or Valks? Cuz Ive never seen one in a UDV.
