Expand on +activateturrets with a +activateturretsFORWARD and +activateturetsREARWARD commands. These commands will dumb fire all the turrets to the bow or stern of the capital ship, even if they (the turrets) don’t have a target.
This suggestion has limited use. It would be primary useful for repturrets and shield turrets. Imagine if you will, fleeing from a pursuing attacker, and being able to spam shield turrets backwards to reduce the amount of incoming capcannon/rail fire? Or being able to fire straight forward in a combat situation to focus fire on a target. Or even fire dumb fired cap swarms forward to cause some chaos?
Currently Shield turrets require a target to be within 200m (more or less) before they fire. Being able to have them fire rearward with no regard to a target being there would be an improvement.
And being able to fire repturrets straight forward, would allow for more shots to land on targets.

Forward is a must u use capcannons and they fail to track a target 200meters away. Be it bad prediction or them just dodgin too well. Forward firing would be helpful.
