Manual/Translation
I think it would be nice to have some volunteers translate the manual into different languages for the devs. There seem to be many players that do not speak english well and I am sure would like to be able to read the manual like the rest of us.
I don't know any other languages well enough to translate, but I thought it would be a good idea and good for the community as well.

Hmm. Sounds like a plan. If I get up some spare time I'll do a german translation... but only if they actually want one.
From looking at the manual actually I'd say a lot of people probably just run it through bablefish... not a lot of complicated words in it so it would translate roughly...

That is an exceptionally good idea, but the devs will need some reason to trust the translators. Otherwise, who knows what the 'translations' will actually say...
They could run the translation through Babel-fish to confirm it. I wouldn't translate it by running it through Babel-Fish though. That thing sucks with grammar.
as for the german translation: i could proofread (i'm good at that :)
i could also provide an italian one if there were dire need. french... i'd better not. there are enough french players out there :)

Celebrim when people read the manual I am sure there will be feed back if its wrong. But there could always be a 2nd person needed to proof read it.
Not really sure what the major languages are in this game, besides english.
German, Polish, French are the three main that I have seen. There must be a few more.

Seen a lot of Japanese in chat lately....
there's always the russians
I can do a dutch translation... altough most probably have enough english skill to read it anyway... -.-
Sort of need the Devs to say if they want this and if they do what languages they would want it done for. It really would be good for the community when it grows bigger and broader then it is right now.
How can you tell if it's japeneese? didn't think that the engine supported that alpha characters.
Hepburn, paedric.
Oh well. Guess from the newspage that translations wont be needed afterall... I'd assume that once they have a sale-able game its bye bye free vendetta test. *sigh*
So in the news of this now to be shortlived future, no real point in taking the time to translate a manual for a game I won't be able to play. Sorry :'(
/me heads off to check out some other free stuff people been telling him to check out.

Oh great node 0, don't start this. First people complain that the game's not gonna get finished because there's no money, then they complain that there's now a way to get money!
Not complaining. Its a very good thing. However, they arent going to need the manual cause it will different? They said a saleable game, didnt say it would be vendetta.
