deneb group flag for dents
If a players client crashes while in deneb with capship, have a true/false flag that they were fighting with the group when disconnected and give the player two or three minutes to leave sector or rejoin group before the unrats come in. I think the server would know the dent was fighting with the group and connection was lost. Thanks.
edited to add... since the dent stays there allow it to give the owner access back to the group it was in when he logs back in, if possible. makes sense since the dent is a member of the group.

This sort of suggestion is best if you clearly state the problem and the result you are seeking, rather than suggesting what you think the solution would be. That's best left to the devs.
Rule #5 - Post Each Idea to a Unique Thread, Be Thorough in your Suggestion.
Post the positives, the downsides or risks, the trade-offs and ramifications, and why you think the idea improves the game as a whole. Consider the likely development burden, and factor that into your thought process.
Include potential acquisition barriers (item cost, is it a drop, is it manufactured, what are the level requirements, etc).
Do not post single-sentence Suggestions, like: "Add landing on planets!"
Similarly, don't post several different ideas to a single thread. Each idea deserves its own thread, otherwise the on-going discussion gets overly chaotic and confusing (people may not be specific which idea they're referencing, etc). Even if you have several ideas for items within a category, like several different weapons: post each weapon Suggestion in its own unique thread.

Yeah, I have no idea what situation you're trying to improve here?
I mean, in general, if we have NPCs stop attacking because someone is disconnected, it tends to open up an exploitable situation where anyone just has to disconnect to escape from any NPC combat they believe they're losing.
We have no way to knowing "why" someone disconnected.. if the crash was intentional, etc.
So, generally speaking, crashing or getting disconnected means that your ship continues to be attacked while you're offline.

He is requesting that he not be kicked instantly from deneb missions from a disconnect, OR that if his trident is in a mission group with others, when he reconnects he auto-joins that mission-based group as well.
What luxen said... I'm not sure how that would be exploitable. I rejoin the deneb mission in the group I was in if I rejoin quick enough. Logging back in and the unrats spawning was not fun. Lost the dent.
I think a method to quickly rejoin a deneb mission upon login (if mission had been joined before logging out / disconnecting) is a good idea for all players. If this was exclusively for capship owners that would not make any sense.
Incarnate the problem that some of us are encountering is that we occasionally get disconnected while in Deneb combat. This causes a problem when someone brings their capitol ship to the fight, especially when they are not flying it, but using it as a repair/rearm platform.
When this happens their capitol ship is no longer part of the mission. This sometimes can trigger the unrats against said capitol ship. When the player re-connects, they either are still in sector, and have to go back to the station to re-take the mission, or they have been destroyed, allowing them to take the mission faster. Both options add a higher level of risk as they are unable to allow their capitol ship to defend itself, without triggering the unrats.
Having player capitol ships remain in the mission, and players remain in the mission, until they purposefully abort the mission, or the mission ends on it's own, seems to be what they are suggesting as a solution.

look... no hands... that was not my problem... my ship was in the deneb sector in the mission fighting the itani with the group of my friends. Don't confuse this suggestion. I was in the sector with my friends. Capitol ships outside the sector don't need the few minutes for their owner to relog and regain group.
Inc... this is an important point, btw. i'm willing to discuss this with you in vc. The other point could be expoitable.
