Suggestion regarding to the new android update
I have tried the new update regarding to the android touch to throttle feature. Its very awesome, probably the best thing so far.
So
I would like to suggest to change the left joystick up to 4 directional strafe (like with how we do using droidbottons), and leave touch to throttle on by default (as it is now).
As it would be more comfortable, also way better
Also resizable joysticks without plugins would be great as well, so on smaller screens they could be used more easily.

Could you be more specific about what you mean, exactly? I only have two axes on the left-side.
I've seen a lot of diverse setups with Droidbuttons, without much consistency.
We do forward/reverse and left/right, specifically because that's what the player needs the most to get started in the game, and we're fundamentally focused on the first 5 minutes of the game experience. On-boarding the user initially is the hardest part.
Notably, this is also similar to the standard W/A/S/D bindings on PC.
Players who become more advanced later are welcome to reconfigure however they want. But, for the early experience, we're just trying to make something that is as simple and intuitive as possible. A lot of people have PUBG and Fortnite experience, so the forward/back left/right concept is also pretty familiar to them.

We're no longer using virtual joysticks on the default input of the game. If you've done a full reset to defaults, without plugins, then you're using localized linear controls that are auto-centered to whatever position the user touches. So, there's no "size" concept at all, it uses in the entire left or right side of the screen.
If you replay the initial client-side tutorials (in Options) you'll see the input regions are now indicated this way, in the "Strafe" and "Rings" tutorials.

I can (at least will try to) give a somewhat better explanation.
Basically we have the left virtual joystick, with the X axis strafes and throttle on the Y axis
So
As there is touch to throttle now, why not just replace the Y axis with the up/down strafes while having the touch to throttle on at all times?
I think the tutorials can be left how it is now, but the option to enable the four directional strafes somewhere in Controls would be quite neat. Also 4 directional strafe only could be enabled if touch to throttle is on.
Also back when touchlook was added I really liked the linear input of it replacing the turn joystick when its on. What about adding the option to replace the basic turn joystick ring with this full screen linear field when touchlook is off (so no joystick ring just the field on the right side)? They can be there for tutorials of course, but later there could be an optipn replacing it with the field.

What do you mean by "touch to throttle", exactly? We've always had a touch-based throttle.

Because a new player needs to learn how to dock, and flying into a docking bay, or killing their first bot, is very challenging for them. Having direct, immediate access to throttle, and being able to slow down, is more important than having vertical strafe (by far).
What you're suggesting sounds appealing to an experienced pilot who wants to do a lot of complex maneuvering and is very familiar with docking. But not a new player, at all.

This is a different Suggestion. We need to have one topic per Suggestion thread, per Rule #5. We need to debate and understand each idea on its own merits, and your "joystick" idea definitely has nothing at all to do with throttle-control.

Okay sorry. By touch to throttle I meant the new touch field what was added in the latest update, Touch Throttle Mode. Just before I did not remember its exact name.
I do understand you. You improving on new player experience. Thats fair and very good, but later could be added so more experienced players can get something out of the default controls
Also ill do a separate suggestion for the turn field thing.
