Community Projects relaxed posting restrictions
With the recent update (1.8.577) the forum posting permissions were recently tightened up. Specifically the following
- Game Website Forums now prevents users from editing or deleting posts after 15 minutes pass from the time the post was initially made.
- PCC members may now only "bump" very-old threads (greater than 6 months) on the restricted-access PCC Forums.
Please relax these restrictions in the Community Projects forum so that, at the very least, thread authors can edit and bump their threads for ongoing projects which receive updates overtime.
These new restrictions prevent updating a top post with the most recent information regarding a project or could result in multiple new threads on a single topic. Some projects may idle for more than a six-months and then need to have a new thread started with the new restrictions. This leads to fragmentation and misleading links if they get shared and a new thread is started at a later time.
