Add a faction standing component to capship keys
Recently there's been several threads lamenting the use of Strike Force to kill other players capships by getting TKOS then docking with a capship. The solution I propose is something that would help with that, and also enhance capship ownership RP potential:
Add a dimension to capship keys to allow/disallow docking that is based on faction standing. I am imagining there would be four checks/settings:
* Local faction standing
* UIT faction standing
* Serco faction standing
* Itani faction standing
You can choose whatever standing you want as the threshold for each, and players with standing lower than that cannot dock with your ship. There may also need to be a toggle for "Any standing value" since setting the value to > -1001 might seem a little hacky.
The default values would be:
* Local faction standing: > -600
* Major factions: Any
The default would prevent players with an active TKOS from docking with your capship, but, say if pirates were raiding a nationspace sector, they could set the value lower and still repair at each others capships. This also allows RP, so a player who is friends with a ONE pilot could be prevented from docking if they get too friendly with Itani without the ONE pilot having to manage their keys manually.
The only downside that's at the top of my mind is more complexity around capship usage.

I think you misunderstand what is happening. People need to be assigned keys by the owner to dock with player capships anyway and the owner can revoke the key at anytime. What is happening here is someone with TKOS flys into their targets dock but does not actually dock since they don't have a key. So when the the strike force attempt to shoot the TKOS player they hit the Trident instead.
I think this issue has been a bit overblown because the strike force will still kill the TKOS player before any significant damage to the trident can be done.

ive gotten a dent to 40% using just sf hittin it
Before dying once? Did the capship move at all?
I think this problem is non-existant.
Currently you cannot dock with a capitol ships while being pursued by the local strike force.
