Ship Transportation
Vendetta online is a game primarily focused on space travel. Of course its comes with its own dangers, such as combat. However as much as I noticed, the core of the game is the open world space travel. Sure one can argue that you can join one of the two major nation's military (Serco & Itan) or do courier, mining mission but even in those scenarios space travel is a major part of the overall gameplay. However in my honest opinion in its current form it can be annoying/boring.
Lets put it in a perspective: You just completed a mission where you had to hunt DenTek collector bots, for that you used your combat capable ship. The next mission is however a transport mission but your transport ship is in another system. So what do you do?
A) Buy a new ship at your current station (if its even available)
B) Fly back to said system wasting time, which you could easily put into advancing in the game.
The issue with option "A" is that a new player might not have the needed credits to purchase said ship for an essential one time use. The issue with option "B" is that it becomes very boring when you left a ship at multiple systems further. This issue personally happened with me doing the Gift mission at Verasi I-5. I had to fly to Odia (grey space), so I used my SVG (Serco Vulture Guardian) just in case I get attacked. However what I did not know is that the gift was 32 Divinia Spices. Now I was there with a Vulture that has 2cu cargohold. So I had to buy a Centaur to transport the spices, leaving my SVG at Odia. The next mission was however a combat mission so I had to buy another Vulture (I rather fly a fighter to greyspace if can) to fly back to Odin just to leave that Vulture there and get my SVG. I'm sure most of us had similiar issues.
My solution would be a ship transportation system. The game already features a smiliar system, which allows the character to teleport across the Galaxy. In this case it would transport your ship from A to B for an additional price. The price would be defined as 15% of the ship's price you are trying to move and an extra 1000 credit/system (this is just an example pricing). It would make it available for even new players with lower credits to use it and advance in the game without needing to spend 10s of minutes just flying from A to B to get the right ship for a single mission.
One could argue it has its down side and sure it does. As I mentioned in the beginning Vendetta Online resolves around space travel. This feature would take out a certain portion of that, however not all by any means. You would still need to fly to the mission or as a pirate fly from system to system looking for a prey. But I do say it would save people precious time, and potentionally get more people into the game.

tl;dr version:
"Ship transportation system. Transport your ship from A to B for an additional price. The price would be defined as 15% of the ship's price you are trying to move and an extra 1000 credit/system (this is just an example pricing)."
Pro: "would save people precious time which you could easily put into advancing in the game, and potentially get more people into the game". "Cheaper than buying a new ship."
Con: "Vendetta Online revolves around space travel. This feature would take out a certain portion of that"
I do not support this suggestion as it decreases the opportunities for interaction with other players. People complain that space is empty already. Opportunities for piracy, escorts, random encounters, and so forth would be diminished.

"My solution would be a ship transportation system. "
It already exists, that's called a player owned capital ship.

My ship is my transportation system.
I dislike this idea for basically the same reasons as whistler.
I could see some alternatives however for player convenience. I recall someone, or several someones talking about hired NPC convoys. Maybe some way of hiring a convoy to truck some ships in for you to use at some later date. I'll have to think on it, as I will agree per-positioning ships is a kinda dull task, but there has to be some element of risk of loss in the proposition. I will say however that tasks that are nothing but tedium, in general I think should be to some extent optional. This is a game after all and we play it to have fun, so I'm all for maximizing fun per unit time.

I see where OP comes from. Hauling ships can be quite a dull task. It annoys me when I just have to keep buying a ship to fulfill a mission and so on and so forth.
Whistler really summed up this topic well. While moving ships is a dull task it also creates opportunities for PVP/PVE and more player interaction. We would not want to reduce these chances.
As others have said the Trident type M/Goliath. Freighters/Haulers are excellent for hauling multiple ships around.

Just make sure you make your travel plans in advance with Family Galactic Travel, the authorized storefront for La Familia.
Which is an RP way of saying, this is a game about traveling through space. If you didn't have to do that, you wouldn't have to interact with others and it would be more like a single-player game.

Death is cheap. Just explode back to your home base. Or join the military and travel instantly from Dau to GR/EO.
The issue with option "A" is that a new player might not have the needed credits to purchase said ship for an essential one time use.
The EC series of ships are pretty inexpensive. The EC 104 can be purchased most places (once you make 5000 profit) and can hold 26 cu of cargo, And there are a few 2 port EC variants that make for good combat ships. None of these require crystal either.
I understand that you believe that traveling is boring, but in reality you can get through almost all systems in the game in under an hour. A clock wise loop from Odia M-14 through Deneb back back to Odia M-14 (clockwise) was recorded as taking less that 30 minutes last year. So while the galaxy may seem vast, in reality it can be pretty compact. Learn the vectors.
You also mentioned the lack of cargo in a SVG. A solution for this is to hire someone else's capship to haul for you, and you use your SVG to escort it.
