get reimbursed of yer ship crystals cost when ye die from a premium sub player.
benefit for the game:balance pvp between premium and lite/freemium player.
incentive for players to discover pvp.
if it is too much it could be limited to deaths in sedina B8 sector.

I mean, the current problem is that we don't use/sink crystals enough already, and people don't buy them. This would make that worse.

From my point of view people dont get the crystals cause u could just buy a full sub for cheaper. Spend 5 quid on 500 crystals which if u pvp would last 2-7days or 6 quid on a month with no crystals.
Not to mention stations soak crystals which for me is pointless for me to buy crystals for due to them being soaked away too quick and just to get a month sub when i can.
And then there is the note of for me to use my dent i MUST have a premium sub therefore i wouldnt even look at crystals anyhow.

Right.. but you aren't the person for whom crystals are intended.
PC veterans tend to believe they represent VO, but there are a number of different player archetypes.
In any case, Crystals are, for the moment, intentionally pretty "soft" in their application and requirement (for the archetypes intended).
But, going back to the Topic of the post, I'm still not interested in reducing crystal burn rate, like this. Plus this would be a pretty weird thing for players to determine.. they'd have to establish someone else's subscription and payment model before engaging in combat? That's fairly weird.
