There should be consequences for being disliked
Currently being disliked by a faction means the the faction treats a pilot just the same as if they are respected. I think this should be changed. Yes, being disliked allows a pilot to dock with that faction, and that is a good thing but there should be some downsides.
1) Factions should not care if a disliked pilot is killed in their guarded space. The pilot is disliked. If that pilot was smart, they would work towards neutral standing. Otherwise, boom boom is overlooked.
2) Random attacks. Disliked pilots have a small percentage of a chance of being attacked by members of that faction. Just because.
3) Good and services (like being repaired) cost significantly more. 30-40% more sounds fair.
4) Just like the marshal will tell bounty hunters where a bounty was last seen, there should be a way to bribe an official to give the pilot a list of the last seen disliked pilots. Their last location and time seen. It is a bribe, so it should cost a mil or two.

This is a great idea. I've often thought that there needs to be some motivation for improving one's faction from dislike to like or better.

Makes sense that there would be some downside to bad standing

you can’t actually argue with this. you are disliked why aren’t you doing anything to fix it?

I think I'd add that being Disliked should mean that certain products in the commodities aren't available to you at all. Much the way certain weapons and ships aren't available until you have sufficient faction.
I'd suggest the most tradeable items and items that offer the highest trade xp. You shouldn't be purchasing *from* a faction where you're disliked. You should be bringing them stuff to improve your reputation.
Also, certain missions might not be available. If you're Dislike, the only missions you should be able to do are those that improve your faction reputation. So manufacturing missions like RBH, LARS, IHDPC, etc. shouldn't be available until you've improved your reputation.
And for those that might balk at the idea of RBH missions not being available, you can do them at Bractus M14.

Maybe an increased cost to repair and refill ammo when disliked by a nation too?
