Turret Death PKs
If a non-owner is in a turret when it is destroyed, they are also destroyed and a PK is given to the killer. They then respawn in their home station and their ship (if any) is gifted to the Trident owner.

This would discourage people from wanting to be gunners on tridents. We should be looking for ways to encourage more cooperative participation than discouraging it.

I agree with Skinwalker. But aside from that.. why would we possibly want this? I don't see what this adds at all.
If this is some weird back-door attempt to mitigate people using bots to control turrets, then the solution should clearly state that as the problem, up-front. But, it would still be pretty strange.
In general, we want Suggestions that clearly state the problem trying to be solved, or the goal of the improvement being targeted.

We would possibly want this because some people decide to just sit inside capships and spam with the turrets free of any consequence (notably in Deneb and in blockades).
I have no concerns about discouraging people from wanting to be gunners because it's not an attractive style of gameplay to begin with generally speaking.

The only person I've witnessed sitting in turrets to stop people from docking and using those turrets against it's own people in Deneb is you. The simple solution would be not to do that as that's not it's intended purpose. Your suggestion would just keep you from griefing the Deneb mission for a minute or two until you return so that's really a non solution.

Well, it's a poor "solution" to that problem.

So.. because something is imperfect now, we should destroy it? That's pretty short-term thinking.
If someone wants to make a more open-ended thread for this specific problem, citing and explaining examples of the issue and why they need to be addressed, and raising some varied options, I'm fine with that.
But, this particular "solution" is not very good, and was presented in a pretty "opaque" way, without explanation or meaningful data. Locked.
