Add stats for rare ores (Pentric, Helio, Sammic, etc) mined from/by the trident on the enduring title.
+1 I'm all for adding some cool stuff to the Enduring Title

I'll take anything that you can put on the enduring title... it's the nicest personal trophy in the game :)

Meh. An enduring metric that you can go ramp up at your convenience, with virtually no risk or effort, just to embolden the worth of your capship's title? Players already ramp up license and badges with afk-mining, I think adding another reason for "set it and forget it" gameplay is a step backwards.
How about adding metrics like Queen kills, Levi kills, unrat capship kills?

What the heck are you talking about? I'm mining in hostile sectors and shooting bots off of me while outside of my capital ship. Get out of here with your poorly thought out suppositions.

Shooting queens, bots, and unrats are boring when you do it with the formulaic methods everyone uses once the figure out how. It's fun until you figure it out then it's meh. People who constantly boast of there kills of these things are really just expressing their monotonous gameplay.
At least Sammic seem to be measurably difficult achievement given that the best roids seem to be in the more dangerous sectors.
Have a thousand queen kills? It tells me you have ten-thousand boring minutes in game. Zero effing effort.
Got an order of magnitude more Sammic than me? Then you've put your ship at risk and expended some effort.

1) staring at roids while a beam conducts a mining animation takes no skill or risk
2) mining sammic is not hard, nor does it require mining in occupied sectors-- do some more prospecting ;)
3) Queen kills, unrat capship kills, and levi kills are game elements that have been continuously tweaked to be more challenging to the seasoned pilot-- I've even sent a ticket to the devs at one point when a certain tweak actually made it easier to mow down queens.
4) even though you may choose to mine sammic in bot-occupied sectors, that doesn't preclude other pilots form taking advantage of your suggested cap-feather.
5) mining ore is not something worth recording on an enduring title, regardless of how difficult you may perceive its extraction to be ...might i suggest a sammic badge?

Please stop it with your sarcastic replies.

That's not sarcasm, that's encouragement for you do go look around for some more sammic such that you might have an easier time mining it :)
I have scanned every sector. I know where it all is. So how can i can go look around and find more? And the best places are NOT where YOU think they are.
..."where it all is"
lol...nope, don't think so...scanning every sector in the unk system? ...sorry, but there's too much plausible deniability in that statement.
let's roll this back up to the suggestion at hand:
mining ore, in general, is not noteworthy on a capship's enduring title.
all other "rare" ores have their own respective badges.
it is only fitting that this new, rarest of all ores, have an apropos _badge_, with proper levels to reflect it's rarity.
tell you what, i'll go start a new superfluous thread for it (since i suspect that the devs have plans for a badge and that this paltry debate is moot), then you can +1 it, because there is really no reason to -1 it.
happy mining :)

You keep using that phrase. I do not think it means what you think it means.
I said i have scanned every sector. No where did i say i scanned every roid in every sector (yet). I HAVE scanned every sammic sector without bots 100% though. So you can take your sarcasm and vitriol and leave this thread. You've said your piece.

The enduring title is almost like having a black box. It has the ability to record everything. Currently it records all kills (including those made by docked gunners), and all profit. Adding something like rare ores mined would not be much more different than the profit listing it has.
I propose that the ores mined be listed in two categories.. One for ores in safe sectors, and one for ores in hostile sectors (other than collectors).

No matter how much you pile on top your molehill, it is still not a mountain.
Again, mining ore with a capship is not a noteworthy occurrence, even in bot-occupied sectors.
However easy it may be to add something to the enduring title is not an argumentative justification for it's addition.
...plus, you're talking about mining and fending off bots in another ship while _outside_ of your capship...
...so, really, you want a mark on your enduring title for your capship doing something benign while you are not piloting it directly...
...big fat -1 to that.
Maybe a "Capship Defender" badge would be more apropos?

This is not a badge request. This is stats for the enduring title. Make another thread for a badge request. Even warships get their own accolades. They earned it.
i already made a badge suggestion three comments ago...you should go +1 it :)
...Frankly, I'm far more concerned with the fact that this thread went off the rails a long time ago and Whistler hasn't edited it yet...hope he's alright and not ill or something :/

Perhaps you should edit your own posts?

I'm pretty sure I did go through and edit awhile back. Sorry you don't think it was enough. To my eye it is mostly on-topic and just barely civil after edits.

I think anything statistical that could be put on an enduring title is just plain awesome....
This is not the same as character accomplishments because:
1. It is to be a title that can be sold.
2. All accomplishments must be done in the capship, much different from doing it in a regular class ship and requires different talents and also those accomplishments go to the current owner which could be potentially any player in the game.
This whole idea of enduring titles has become something special. It surprises me because when it was first announced I was like "meh..".. but I have fallen in love with the idea of a "famous/notorius ship". Subsequently I 1000% support the idea of adding any new stuff to the title... I want to make my capship as famous as can be!

hax, from what i can tell, this is not a discussion about putting any and everything on the enduring title of a capship with reckless abandon, simply to make it more gaudy and sparkly, but rather, a specific discussion about whether or not to include a rare ore mining element and the merits of such a proposal.
to which, i would say,

this does seem like something that someone could easily grind on to create false value

What exactly do you mean by false value?
