Allow all key holders to get station alerts in email.
According to the update:
"Currently, this is only enabled for attacks on stations where the player holds an owner's key."
Since users can key a station to a key which they don't own, I would think it would make sense to allow all users to opt into station attack alerts as well. The nice thing about the alerts, is that they can motivate players to login. If only a few owners get the alerts, then this reduces the potential player pool. I would like to see more people logging in.

I agree in principle, but right now we have no way for people to differentiate between getting notified for situations where they actually own something, versus situations where they merely have access.
Some people may not want to be spammed for things they don't own. And yet, they have to disable the entire Instant Notification email in order to avoid it (at the moment).
I'm not sure if that tradeoff is worthwhile. But, I'm open to continued feedback.

There could be a toggle for the notifications
Well, there "could be" an infinity of features that would make this not a problem.
But, there won't be, because we don't have time and this is just not a priority compared to other areas of development. Which is basically the point of what I wrote above.
We could allow all key-holders to get the email, but people need to understand that the only way to disable it, for the moment, would be to disable all Instant Notifications, whether you own the content or not. I'm not adding specialized features for now.

I think that is a good compromise. As long as instant notifications remain opt in.
