Pure Nationalism
Player takes a mission that includes an oath to the nation he/she is a member of. The end result of the mission is a sworn nationalist with perks and disadvantages consistent with such a role play. Mission requires POS with the associated nation before it can be taken.
Disadvantages:
1. Player becomes KOS with both other nations and cannot recover standing with them.
2. Player cannot attack another player of the same nationality in nation space (like capital system rules but extending all the way to the national border) unless they are KOS level standing.
Perks:
1. Player cannot permanently lose standing with the nation he is "sworn" to. That means killing players in nation space that are not of the same nationality may only have TKOS ramifications (or none at all if so inclined).
Other possibilities:
1. access to a special weapon.
2. access to a special ship.
3. TKOS in nation space for killing someone of the same nationality in grey space.
4. price perks for commodities in national space.
5. a symbol added to the pilots display name showing he/she is a sworn nationalist.
6. inability to harm other sworn nationalists anywhere in the VO universe.
I think this could make for some awesome true nationalistic role play and I personally would jump on the opportunity with several of my characters.
This also strengthens nation space against predatory players from other nations or tri-KOS players.
This also encourages traveling to grey space for some resources moving players into end game content.

no Aryko those ideas were in the "other possibilities" section. Also exchanging standing with one nation at the cost of 2 other national standings is not a "net gain".
Please note that this is already the case with Corvus stations (albeit for other reasons). You cannot lose standing with Corvus, a perk you get without making any concession at all.

This allows creating alts that can grief newbies of other nations without factional repercussions. That's a huge gain, and most griefers rarely care about standings in other faction spaces.
Corvus is a special case. It is not a faction that cares about your behavior with pilots of other factions. It doesn't maintain any relations with them and is not obliged to look after said pilots.
