Thank you for reading suggestions
Incarnate and crew:
Thank you so much for actually reading suggestions posted in this forum.. Every time the game updates it seems you have implemented some suggestion from this forum and it really makes us all feel like you really care about what we think and value our ideas (even if some of mine just require too damn much work to implement).
I know of no other game in existence that might potentially implement a player suggestion as quickly as the VO dev team.. nor do I know of any other game where players get to interact so closely with the actual people who write the real code.
This includes also Whistler who has that never perfect job of trying to moderate the stubborn and fussy player base but always manages to have an interaction that makes you like him/her. I managed to kill Whistler in game and get his name on my enduring title.. it was absolutely one of my most treasured moments and was the thrill of my week!

Hey, we're always happy to be able to make some changes you guys like.
It's really important to me that people know I'm listening, and particularly while we're working on really huge, big-picture development (like interface and localization stuff), it can be hard to do content drops that are very meaningful, just because of limits on dev-time for any given week.
So, the Suggestions are helpful for us too, to get an idea of what's impacting people at any given time, and where things are in people's personal priority-list, etc.
That's also why I always tell people to keep bumping old threads (or re-create them and reference the old thread, if it's more than 6 months old), if there are particular topics they really care about. Because while I do read a lot of threads, and keep a lot of notes and have a lot of plans, it's still helpful for me to know that "that issue from 2 years ago" is still really important to people (or maybe, "suddenly" is again).
Some people believe that if a Suggestion is made, and then not acted on, then they should just "give up", because it'll never happen, and they end up becoming bitter over the fact that it wasn't implemented.. when in reality we just didn't realize it was still an issue, or thought it had been mitigated by some other change, etc.
So, player-activity on Suggestions is really important to keeping the "communication" going between the devs and the player-base.
Ideally, I'd rather have a more complex system than just a forum, for managing this kind of thing. With real voting and bumping of priority and so on. But, that's a huge engineering and design issue unto itself.
Anyway, glad you value it! And we appreciate the kind thoughts. I'm on the receiving-end of a lot of direct player angst, day-to-day, it's nice to get some specific positive call-out like this, now and again :).

Is that why you killed me? Ha!
Thanks for your kind shout out. I strive to be fair to the individual while serving the community.
I agree wholeheartedly with the OP - the dev team has kept me engaged these many years through their interactions, actions, and compelling development story.
