Firefly buff

Give em 12 ammo and 95m/s move speed so they can be used in concert with stingrays.

This sounds good to me. I might even give them MORE ammo, as their tracking is kinda lackluster. Kinda gives you the option of a few well aimed shots (Gemini) or the lots of not so well aimed shots option.

I mean if we're being honest fireflies/yellow jackets are pathetically useless, at least the stingray has the damage/ammo count going for it which does make it useful in niche scenarios like taking down those blasted station turrets from a safe distance.

Yellow jacks are highly useful at taking out levis or other big static targets. 8 yellowjacks do 14400 damage per tube, and while they are quite useless against a fighter, they are great against larger targets as they are contact damage, you will always do 14400 if you hit with every shot ( which is possible against queens, npc capships, etc), and can actually do more damage per tube than a Stingray (17100 per tube, but they have a 10m prox too, which means you will be lucky to do this much).

Fireflys on the other hand are quite useless. A tube only does 7200 damage total, which considering how little they hit? Yeah, give them more ammo!

Stingrays are awesome there's ~40k damage in a tube of stingrays I'd argue they're the only missiles outside of swarms/gems that aren't completely useless.

They also only detonate on contact the only missiles afaik that det with 10m prox are gems.

I actually meant Gems, yeah, I mean, they're the only other s-port ones so that would make sense!

But, the point remains, you actually can do more damage with YJ's than Gems (overall), as Gems do not always inflict the full damage. You can also use them on turrets quite nicely, I prefer them to Gems in practically all situations, the only time Gems have the advantage is against smaller, more mobile targets, and then there are much much better s-port options. But I guess this is OT, as the OP is about Fireflys, and at least we agree they suck.

- Firefly homing missile ammo buffed from 6 to 12, and speed from 75 to 95 m/s.

VO 1.8.556 (but in production now, immediate change).

Ahh, I had bumped the default ammo quantity number and not the max missiles number. I've done both now and pushed it out. Thanks.
