Npc convoys

Npc Capella capital ships should have a filled cargo bay. In the eyes of a pirate, if they send a capella to carry cargo then surely it must be filled to the brim! But oddly enough it has around the same amount of loot as a bhm, 120, to 200cu, it takes alot of effort to take them down, and IMO should be well worth the killing

to add if you kill a capella there should be a chance of it droping a samo

This would just create a huge credit faucet. (As if convoys weren't abundant and lucrative enough) It would just inflate everything and make credits meaningless. There would need to be a lot a lot more changes to other aspects of the game. This would destabilize the value of credits if people can pull millions from 1 single capella.

In other words it would crash the economy. Something something Economics 101. Inflation and so on.

Currently there's a LACK of financial gains for players since farming hive drops like SSS to sell was made way more complicated, and static trade routes were removed (not complaining). AS such this would only affect the capella convoy, a difficult capital Ship to solo. Currently the capella has bad pathing around hulks, which can be fixed. I see this is as a opportunity for group pirating and capella hunting to become more rewarding since it drops about the same amount of loot as a trident (which is ridiculous, considering it's monstrously more difficult to take a capella down then a trident). All in all this would make seeing a capella "ohhh get the guys/gals capella is coming through!" and not "look a beautiful ship, shame it's not worth killing".

I mean convoys can pay out into 500k-1mil if you run them. Some ships even have weapons' on them? Convoys full of swarms, mines, gauss, and so on. It's a matter of patience as of right now. There's other ways to add credit faucets in game that are rewarding. I'm also considering all those people who have billions in VO made of of years and years of static trading.

Literally people opt to kill the convoys no matter of loot type rather then run the actual mission. The convoy doesn't revolve around the capella it's in the moths,goliaths,tridents.

I can see a system of 5 capellas all full of industrial supplies or guns there's just so many out there.

I think Inc didn't make capellas hold huge for a reason. It's just a hunch because you are right it is a HUGE ship for it to have that low of a CU has to have a reason behind it.

I my self would not say there's a lack of credit faucets atm. And we can go on about that Deneb,Hive skirmishs,escort farming, Building capital parts? Mining?

In proportion to how many people that have hundreds of millions to billions we really could use some more ways to spend credits. the highest mechanical purchase is Squadrons? (not the rep restore mission since that's a 1 time deal) Correct me if I'm wrong.

NPC killing is extremly easy a capella can be held down and destroyed by a single player, if they had larger holds killing them would amount to even greater payouts for those who pop them.

The really doesn't need more easy ways to make creds lategame as it stands capella stats are fine.

The most expensive thing I've done over the years is hosting the nation war.

Afaik it's 1000 units atm which can make for a very juicy payout.
