Let Storm Radars Work in Fog
I mean, they're radars, right? Maybe after changing, rename them appropriately: like "Heavy Storm/Fog Radar" .... or just "Heavy Radar"
I have to double check, but I think it's the property of the fog where we define how it impacts radars, and potential impacts of storm radar extenders.
Back when those storm radars were released, I think we just had ion storms. One could conceive there might be a lot of varied types of fogs with different properties (something I do actually intend), and some might have better compatibility with radar extenders than others.
Which fogs, exactly, are you looking to see within?

I figure he's referring to mining fogs in Pelatus,Deneb,Dau,Verasi.
There once was a time where storm radar extenders worked in these limited visibility environments but afaik it wasn't expected behavior and was patched as a result.
If you ask me the radar extenders should be renamed to "Sensor augmentation modules" and should work in every environment increasing radar range even in clear sectors, not to mention giving ships different radar range would be a very cool way of further differentiating ships & roles.

I too seem to recollect that those extenders did work in continuously fogged sectors. I could be mistaken however.
I was thinking specifically places like Dau K10, Verasi i-5, Pelatus C12, Latos M7, etc.
Of course, the trade off to seeing in the fog is losing a port...

This may be deserving of it's own suggestion, but what about also allowing Radar Extenders to see targets currently occluded by asteroids or debris?
