Capital Ship shield recharge
When capital ships shields recharge, It's done automatically, no cost at anything. I'm suggesting that when a shield is damaged, for it to recharge it needs energy. My reasoning is that a capship can turbo infinitely, and pcbs can't stop a capital Ship at max speed (as far as I've tried) you either have to dodge caps warms or capital rail guns, IMO current capships have to be ambushed at wormholes or its extremely difficult (not impossible) to drain their shield.

PCB turrets are VERY good at stopping capital ships at max speed.

Yeah, pcb turrets will stop it dead in its tracks. And you can put PCB turrets on things other than cap ships.
Capships seem pretty balanced to me.

I can see the reasoning for this shields don't just magically recharge. It would make sense to force the shields to replenish at the cost of significant energy. Like a button that after your shields go down you can force a shield to recharge at the cost of 50% of your energy. That's as far as I will support it. Thing is also as mentioned above the reason for suggesting this is not the best.
PCB's are capital ships worst enemy. A PCB turret especially can wreak havoc since they don't need energy to shoot unlike a subcap guy trying to pin down a trident don't get me wrong he can help a lot but that turret is king.
You need to have the proper response to kill a capital ship even a goliath can be hard to pin down if you mess up.
I would love to see realism and less magic regarding shields. You are right shields do need energy to recharge. I just don't see the need for this. All it takes is slopply placed swarms on a bomber and a support trident to take down the shields it's not hard. It can get harder if your a subcap group attacking a trident. Having a friendly cap to lay damage on the trident and especially that PCB turret makes the job so so so much easier! As a person who was tasked with pinning down enemy trident's I can say with confidence it's not fun being targeted with a lot of cap swarms. Compared to NPC tridents Player tridents are laughable compared in the shield differences.
