Ineubis Defense Research presents: the Concussion Burst Mine Turret
Hello Pilot! This manufacturable defensive turret will require you to “acquire” an item from one of our competitors, Xang Xi Automated Systems. How you acquire is up to you; we don’t want to know how you got it.
This turrets launches a burst of 8 self propelled concussion mines to a range of roughly 1000m. Upon reaching that distance, they self detonate. In addition, the mines will detonate if another ship, or hostile weapon gets within close (30m) proximity of the mine. This mine can detonate hostile avalons, rockets, mines and missiles.
For tracking purposes, we slapped the tail end of a yellow jacket onto the mine. That way you can see where they are going. It will be quite a show.
This defensive turret can be used by capital ships and smaller trade ships alike. This will keep pesky pirates from getting close to you, as well as giving some protection against bombing. Your turret will need to be manually operated and aimed though as these mines have zero tracking ability.

Would this fly off in a scatter shot pattern like untargeted swarms?
The way i envisioned it, is that it fire in a straight line. If the user wanted a larger pattern, they would need jiggle the turret around.
