Make Capships bigger
Just a QOL (Quality of life) idea for the trident and Goliath, upscale their models. The behemoth does not fit in the Goliath docking port. Most likely wasn’t ment to be stuffed in there, but I do it anyways. I spent a couple days trading 6k sss amongst players, that means docking ~120 with my goli. I hated it. Grinded it against some roids. Now it hates me back. Thoughts?
The goli can hold 150 SSS and the trident can hold 200 SSS. My suggestion: scoop and drop SSS with an empty trident instead of using a moth. Docking and undocking a moth with your capital ship is a personal choice when you have other options.
hmm...i thought this thread was about upscaling the physical size of the trident/goli models to better reflect reality and physics
...i will reserve my [+1] until then
in fact, it's hard for me to determine what it is exactly that you want "thoughts" on...is it the size of the models or the size of the cargo?

I am inclined to +1 for either reason, "QoL" or reality/physics.
While I have no docking issues with a dent, which I use for bulk hauling (so no repeated goli-docking issues for me), I do have to really jam those XCs into the goli, which seems wrong. I guess is spoils immersion for me, mostly. Of course I think stations should be much, much larger too.
I guess Inc could shrink all non-cap ships/missiles/cargo instead, which would make cap-ships and stations both bigger in comparison! Simples! ;)

I'm with FC on this shinking business. lmao
But seriously.. I'm sure the whole goliath docking bay issue has been mentioned more than once, upscaling is an option, or even extending 'the zone' at which docking is triggered out a just enough that you dont have to ram your ship to get into it which I figure a lot of people may do.
Personally I dock upward.. so keeping the goliath and the behemoth in parallel to each other (goli above, moth below, moving toward the goliath) then as the lower edge of the docking bay hits the edge of the screen I push my moth upward. Not something you want to do with 250k~500k in weight, but with most common things mobility is still excellent and its no problem at all. Works a charm.

I like FC's idea, shrink the xc's.
I actually dislike the idea of shrinking the non-capital ships, from the stance of that its already difficult enough to see your opponent's ship on smaller devices, or in recordings.
the shrinking thing was a joke... (whoosh)
Only half joking.
I honestly doubt there wold be a significant change from the player perspective, but it's well known I fly pretty exclusively on PC, so can't really comment on the mobile experience.
However, if you shrunk the non-capships and stuff like missile sizes, the "scale" would also need to decrease so I doubt there would be a difference from the player perspective. At 100m away, the ships would look to be the same size (as the "100m" would be closer than it currently is due to reduced scale) while stations, cappies (and prolly roids) would all appear to be larger.

yea, shrinking is really bad.
mobile is brutal, with the current bug to not be able to disable background i couldnt see something at any distance other than already in firing range.
