58 grid for a goli is an insult..make it 60
plain and simple:
60 grid gives the goliath the ability to effectively defend itself.
58 is not enough

A rear cap rail on the goliath is plenty defence. Add a couple firecracker turrets and a queen gat (or TU mine) in LP and you can defend against all but the most skilled attackers.
That load out only takes 37 grid, so why do you need 60?
Here is my previous response to your suggestion you made earlier this year on this matter: https://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/36362#416598

If you can't effectively defend and/or escape with one of these combinations you shouldn't own a Goliath:
a) two cap rails bottom/top; gem turret rear, megaposi front.
b) two cap rails bottom/top; shield turret rear, megaposi front
c) cap rail rear; neutron turret top; firecracker turret bottom; Biocom TU front
d) shield turret rear; cap-swarm top; firecracker bottom; hive-gat front
e) cap rail rear; cap-gauss top; Power cell Blaster bottom; prox mine front
f) ...
and so on.

Two capital cannons is pretty brutal. That brings you up to 50 grid. Leaves enough grid for a firecracker and TU.

The Goliath is an entry-level trade ship. You could consider it something like a WW2 Liberty Ship.. yes, technically it had some guns, but it wasn't very good at defending itself. Which is why they had to be escorted by Destroyers and Cruisers and the like.
As people say, the Goliath already has some pretty robust capabilities. It is not meant to be some kind of combat battlewagon.
Which isn't to say that we shouldn't have (other) ships that do fill that role, but they would have very different trade-offs.
