This will still limit the ship to just 2 capital class (25 grid) weapons, but at least let the pilot configure a basic turret and a basic Large Port weapon. As it is, if you choose something like a gem turret in the left over port, you only have 1 grid left. Why not just add 3 more grid and let pilots fill it out?

I can't imagine this would make it too OP the way it was when you had 3 caprails, but I'm open to being convince otherwise.

Sounds reasonable to me. I'd rather have a small capship that is designed as a warship, but this atleast moves in that direction.
