Extending the hire a squadron mission timer.
A simple suggestion. The Hire a squadron mission where you can hire 3-6 Npcs they has a timer of 30 mins. I think it should be extended to 1 hour. I did find a thread on this so I might as well bring this suggestion back up and it really sounds simple enough.

Currently 30min squadron on the itani side doesn't cover all of grey (I get to latos with like 3mins left plotting around) More time=more fun=more shenanigans and well more fun.
benefits for sercos and uits is yah they enjoy more time with their npcs.
The mission has a 24hr cool down so really one hour seems reasonable for the cool down between squadrons.

from the thread I read it sounded like the PCC people did make it to last 1 hour so im wondering what happened?
+1 Bump ^^ Its a simple reasonable suggestion that can encourage more people to use squadrons for more shenanigans in VO.
Why not remove the 24 hour cool down.
I'm opposed. I don't like the mission, it's been abused before and I think the timer provides a sensible limit for it being used in certain areas in lieu of a hard limit to certain areas.
Honestly it's a pretty janky implementation of NPC control... I mean, having to go into the mission screen and click a button to issue a command? Seriously? In the midst of battle?
That said, in the absence of any alternative, I think it's a good idea. Abuses have been mitigated since it's introduction.
TRS's opposition to the mission reminds me of a fond memory I have of taking out his trident in Initros O-12 (with the mission being discussed) and stealing his sizeable TU and avalon cargo. If memory serves correctly, he got all of his lost cargo re-instantiated by Ray.

@We all float I feel like if we do remove the cool down Billionare vets might always have a squad of 6 vultures that kill anything with the fire at will command. If a squadron dies just get one the next time your at the barracks of your respective nation. I would support removing the cool down for the mission and it would be a nice credit sink.

You're making up 'what if' scenarios. To which i reply: so what. We need more things to spend credits on. Let the billionaires waste their credits on the mission. A TU will take them all out anyways. But honestly, how many people who play have that many credits? 1. Maybe 2? Why should we all be limited due to the amount of credits someone else has? That seems more unfair that the scenario you propose.
If it is truly a big deal, then double the price each time someone takes the mission within 24 hours.

i think having "a squad of 6 vultures that kill anything with the fire at will command" for 30 minutes every 24 hours is more than enough for a game like VO (where you can't have any mining or hauling or trading helping bots).
i'm on the same opinion of greenwall about "having to go into the mission screen and click a button to issue a command". Maybe that should be improved.

This squadron thing is already OP. Increasing the timer or removing the daily limit is a bad idea.
But I do agree that the commands should be able to be bound to keys like an alia instead of having to go into the mission screen.
