Reduced scanner range
Since my return I have noticed that it takes longer for the mineral scanner to display the asteroid data.
The 1000m range of a Bmh2 is only about 750m in actual usage and the advanced mineral scanner seems to be down to 500m or so. I am not sure this is a bug per say and The scanners were never exactly on but the current situation severely reduces their usefulness.
Adding 200m to their range might be a good temporary solution until you can find a more permanent solution.

This seems like it's probably better suited for Suggestions? (Moved)
I tested the advanced mineral scanner. It is scanning at 770 meters. The Bmh2 scans around 1022m . The mineral hog at 526m. The UDV scanned at 320m. The prototype mineral scanner clocked in between 750m to 827m for me.I assume the roid size comes into play.
Interesting.
Perhaps there is an issue with the linux build?
You were in motion I assume about 60 m/s?

I was in motion. I use Manjaro Linux. What are you using?
Mint cinnimon
Its an older box so that maybe part of the issue too.
