Temporarily kill on sight should be based on in game time.

The game permits a player to log off and return later when a temp KOS is given. Pirates exploit this by simply changing alts and proceeding to rat us traders.

Kindly make it so the temp KOS is based on game time elapsed so they need to actually wait real time for the temp KOS to elapse.

I think temporary KOS is intended to be a consequence vs. a punishment. We are allowed (encouraged) to shoot others.

The change from objective to subjective time would make no meaningful difference in the instance you are citing. They'd just switch to another alt on another account, leaving the first one logged in to wait.

It should be noted as well that piracy is not an exploit, but a designed in feature of the game.

Factional ramifications, like Temp KoS, are never intended to impact more than an individual character (ie, not a whole account).

Plus, as people say, even if it did, they would simply use other accounts.

If there's some egregious case this is intended to solve, it might be better to raise that, specifically, and we may be able to find a solution (like, say, strengthening Strike Force responses to NFZ violations). But, fundamentally, piracy is a valid form of gameplay in VO.

Note that, I actually have no problem with the fundamental OP idea of making TempKoS into game time instead of wall-clock.

It will make it a more meaningful ramification for people, in terms of limiting usage of a specific character.

But, it won't impact alts.

would be a good idea as there are several pilots who can simply fly circles around them while still killing noobs (and me )
