add "NAME" as a reason for reporting an individual

I haven't seen any lately, but I have seen some offensive names in the past.

-1... my understanding is that in game muting is for chat only, not any other kind of abuse or violation. You shouldn't be able to mute someone for something that doesn't pertain to their in game communications.
For other violations there is a support ticket system, and if you are so incredibly offended by their character name you can ignore them until action is taken.

Greenwall,
Are you even aware of the new /report functionality?
Reporting is for administrative action, not limited to muting.
I specifically said reporting, not muting.
FYI, in-game communication INCLUDES pilot name.

Oh, well, my understanding was that the /report function just tossed the request to an AI that determined the outcome, subject to appeal to a real person. The result of the current implementation is that the targeted party gets muted in game by default and it's only possible to lift said mute after a review is conducted and confirmed. Am I wrong on this?
If you can report for administrative action with /report in a way that doesn't result in auto-muting by an AI for an offensive character name, then sure why not!

Yes, you're extremely wrong on that. AI has nothing whatsoever to do with the Report system.
In the latest newsletter, from the beginning of this month, I explicitly wrote:
"This tool replaces the old "/vote mute" system, which was prone to abuse, and eliminates some of the issues, as every single Report instance will be viewed by an administrator. Reports made by several people against a single person may result in an immediate mute, much like vote-mute."
Not only that, but it was built from the design that I detailed in the giant On Toxicity thread.
So, please, enough with the rumor-mill BS about AI and the Report system. I'm doing all the Reports. Myself.

Yes, that makes sense, given the recent "hit.ler" user and the like.
