Unrat Fighter Drops
Heya,
Unrats are doing good, nice interactive ai and such, balanced and interesting drops, often enough - cappie anyways.
This suggestion is specifically about the fighters, as at the moment you fight a lot of ships there, and they arent easy to kill, sometimes i must end up wiping out 60+ fighters when the deshielding works out awkward, but... all they drop is scrap.
Now, im not suggesting they should drop anything good, but lets just say they could drop in similar ways to the bots, maybe a chance to drop their powercell, and maybe one of their weapons. Maybe just for fun, each individual fighter could have a 15% chance to drop one cu of the commodities from the cappies list, not including the capship parts of course. But... Makes sense a pirate would have a bottle of synthetic tequila knocking around their ship whilst hangin out like that...
Its only marginally about profit, altho a small profit counted up from collecting the equipment would be nice, its mostly about the severe lack of variance in what the fighters drop. You get all those pink dots, and nothing but scrap.
Even a few scattered ion blasters, neut mk1s, and posi mk1s, maybe a fast charge cell or two among them would make it feel more realistic. I mean, even if its just crap, at least its something to collect hehe

I've always been disappointed that the pirates and blockades don't yield combat XP.
+1 to the drops idea. Maybe make them less than 1 out of 10, but they should drop *something* on occasion.
Having them drop cargo similar to the cappie is an ok idea... but I say lock it in as tequila, rum, or "spices". How many pirates flying around in a fighter would have flowers or fine china? Well, maybe the refined pirate would...

We're adding drops to Unrat fighters, hopefully in tonight's server-side release.

Thats great incarnate. The suggestion wasnt about dropping anything amazing, just... something. :)
That being said, the wh fighters should be just the same drops and xp as those in the unrat sector, as they are much more difficult to beat, as they attack en masse without the ai splitting forces to defend their trident.
