Love the game. Some suggestions.
I like the game and I've played it for about a couple days. There are some things that just need a quality of life update
- The in game chat could be improved. I get that voice chat is probably preferred but on mobile you don't want to be texting and driving at the same time. The ability to tap someone's name and have options like reply, whisper, etc would be nice.
- Quest givers are far too vague. Where do you find this person that you're supposed to see? No one knows and not even the quest giver. Just go see them. No coordinates. Not even in this area. Just go see this person. I started 2 days ago. I shouldn't have to know all the lore to finish a quest.
- Quests should be shown as branched like a menu so that you can see the hierarchy of the quests.
- The UI on mobile should be able to be removed when using a controller and it shouldn't pop up "Press X+Y to see stuff". The X+Y thing is probably a bug but if I'm using a controller I don't want to see the controls for touch. Some I do. Let me choose.
- I get why the portals open up right next to the center of the sector but I think the sectors need more space.
- A real suggestion and this is what I'd do if I made the same game. Why 2d maps? Why not 3d maps. So the coordinates could be x - y - z coordinates for each zone. Right now it's letters as columns and numbers as the rows but I think there should be more space.

- the turbo thing is cool but you wouldn't just slow down for no valid reason because you didn't hold down a button. If you're going however fast the only thing that would slow you down is if you hit something or if something altered you going that direction. Like being pushed in the opposite direction. A button not being pushed shouldn't remove 100m/s from your speed. If you're going that speed it's constant. That's not how space works. The physics mode is awesome. Why not complete it with equally real in game speed.
- Weapons don't have a minimum fire distance or a maximum. Is this a per vehicle thing? That brings me to my next thing because you mine up some dust as a noob and then you have a nice new space ship after an hour of playing which doesn't seem that bad. I think that by not knowing the distance the weapons are effective at and just knowing what they do by the name doesn't give away much. Some flavor text should be added to zest up weapons a bit just like ships.
- The price for things should be more, paying for them that is and getting paid should feel like slave labor. This is the dystopian future owned by a handful of companies and whatever else. I got 2 ships destroyed and still had like half a million left to keep destroying my ships. If I had less money to spend on running around getting destroyed then maybe I'd be far more careful with my in game currency.

2) I only know of a single mission that has thrown new pilots for a loop before - missions almost always give specific locations and will even create a navigation route for you. Lemme know the specific mission so I can look for myself, but...
4) If you want to remove the default UI or change it, install a plugin called DroidButtons. You can redesign it even, which is what most mobile pilots will end up doing with or without a controller - there are a few things you will still want on-screen. For the HUD elements, go to PDA>Options>Advanced>Interface>Hud
6) Maybe if this game didnt start development in 2002, but beyond that does it actually give anything to gameplay to have a triple-coordinate map? The current navigational chart works fine.
Actually, if you really wanted a 3d chart, learn some lua and make one, since things could be viewed from above to make it look 2d anyways, and nothing would really move. I'd use a plugin that does that, myself, even if its only eye candy...
7) No, a max speed limit is applied because Vendetta Online is an arcadey space shooter with MMO elements - its not a simulation. also, combat would become pretty damned impossible.
8) Weapon distance is dependent on the weapon velocity, but a rule of thumb I go by is that energy cannot fire outside of 600m on a stationary target. you wanna be anywhere from 25m to 300m to hit a moving target, depending on the weapon you use.
9) But then combat would be a chore too, because you are too worried about losing credits. Credits are easy to get in VO to push pilots to not care about losing them, in a way to encourage them to try new things. In fact, not enough new pilots ever realise this anyways!
Based on the stuff I had to say, I think you misunderstand what VO is a little....
Also, for #1, 3, and 5? Erm... I'm not sure how to respond, as I either have no strong feelings for it or don't understand what you are even talking about...
Also, try to keep suggestions 1 per thread, helps keep things readable and discussion relevant to that independent item is neatly organised.
Thanks for playing Vendetta Online, and I hope you stick around and get a better feel for the game and its community! Make sure to join us on our discord, too, where you can learn about some of the history of VO

Some of the Party Missions have no where this mission is. I get some missions are kind of vague but I just think it's too vague.
1) I've read other suggestions for the in game chat and how others don't like it because it seems if Android default keyboard is used it breaks the game. Because Android. Makes sense. The chat doesn't have, on Android, as far as I know a way to tap a players username and have options. I get that there's the /msg "" but tapping would save time and be more efficient. I don't want to be texting and drifting around space to die by messaging someone.
3) the missions when completed should be like a branched file system. You know when you see a file system on the left and it's a branch file view where you can collapse the branch.
Collect Pizza
- Give Pizza to 5 Friends
- - Pizzaning 2: The Happening
- - - Who Put the Pizza Out?
Mine Stuff
- Mine 5 Ore
- Mine 2000 Ore
- Deliver X Ore to Blah Blah C-4
- - Deliver X More Ore to Blah Blah C-4
- - - Destroy Draxanor: He Took Our Ore!
5) Each Sector if you're going to Blah Blah C-4 from anywhere outputs you near the middle of the sector. I think it gives a more campy feel. If I go with 20 of my boys and camp a sector that's it. No one can probably do anything.
Also are Mission Logs per area? Like it's not all Mission Logs combined because I don't see the ones I did before?

"Weapons don't have a minimum fire distance or a maximum. Is this a per vehicle thing?"
It's all based on time, actually. All weapons have a maximum lifespan. The distance they'll travel is the product of that lifespan and the velocity of the projectile (which is itself the sum of the weapon's velocity stat and the ship's current velocity at the time of firing). Most weapons don't actually display their lifespans though, but you can grab a stopwatch and figure them out empirically if you want.
"Also are Mission Logs per area? Like it's not all Mission Logs combined because I don't see the ones I did before?"
Mission logs are per-mission. I don't know if the mobile interface is different, but there should be a list on the left side of the screen with all your completed and failed missions. Click on one of those and it should show you the log from that mission.
"The price for things should be more, paying for them that is and getting paid should feel like slave labor."
No it should not. I agree that a lot of prices could stand to be raised a bit, but one of the things that makes this game so fun is that death is cheap, meaning you can afford to actually get into fights with people. If you want to be a space-slave instead of a space-fighter, go play Elite Dangerous, or better yet, EVE Online.
But yes, the game's current economy is a bit out of whack. The devs know and are working on a new system that's probably going to involve some degree of simulated scarcity and more dynamic prices.
Also, for what it's worth, things do get a lot more expensive when you graduate from dealing in vendor trash to player-crafted stuff.

A simple-work around for this, would be to use one of the 8 macro buttons offered on the mobile keyboard. Type in /+turbo and hit one of the M1-8 buttons. Whenever you want to talk while fighting some robos, just hit your macro and reply to whoever.
"Each Sector if you're going to Blah Blah C-4 from anywhere outputs you near the middle of the sector."
Well no, that's not entirely true. Your position from the center of the sector usually depends where you came from, but in most cases, it spits you out 2,000-4,000 meters away from the middle of the sector, sometimes more. Sectors actually span several million meters before things start to break.
"The price for things should be more, paying for them that is and getting paid should feel like slave labor."
Yeah like Pizza said, try EVE or Elite Dangerous if you want it to feel like a second job. Things can get expensive later, especially in player-to-player trade. A single crate of Synthetic Silk Steel can cost anywhere from 15k - 30k credits, and the capship manufacturing process uses thousands of SSS. Hell, there's even a rare collectors ship that some people sell for 50 million credits.
On a side note, some of your suggestions are against intentional systems. On the surface, they would seem fine to any new player, but once you've had a bit more experience, you'll realise some of your suggestions are Anti-fun mechanics. (Imagine going full turbo into a bot sector and you zip past, you'd have to slow down anyway).
"Also are Mission Logs per area? Like it's not all Mission Logs combined because I don't see the ones I did before?"
No, the mission log only shows the last couple of missions you've done. I haven't counted but I think it's about 40 missions before things disappear off the log.
