Suggesting A Mobile Control Feature

Nov 26, 2019 Red Vegaz link
Developer should create a way for making touchscreens easier in combat.

If only there's a way to improve the speed of the movement of ships, when a touchscreen player, moves the control buttons.

And also having the straf up, down, left, right controls in one button.

Maybe then also add a scale like ladder feature, that would have numbers ranging from 0-10, that would enable the touchscreen player to draw up (ascend/increasing the flight speed) or draw down (decend/slowing the flight down)

[Thank you]

So, thanks for posting this to Suggestions. However, part of the point of this forum, is so you can describe what you mean, specifically.. instead of just pasting what you previously wrote on Discord.

Like "if only there's a way to improve the speed of the movement of ships" is not actually a Suggestion. We're looking for a coherent and specific idea of how to improve things.

Your other ideas are more in-line with that, but are pretty unclear. Like the "scale like ladder feature", I'm not sure if you're talking about ship flight-assist throttle, or some kind of control sensitivity, or what?

We did try having strafe up/down/left/right in one analog-joystick field on mobile, but the problem is, that players only have two thumbs. And it was more important to be able to fly forward and backwards. So we used up-and-down for that instead.

Are you using DroidButtons? Perhaps you could just set-up the ideal configuration you prefer using that, and then Suggest that as a possible selectable option?

Lastly, there's been a lot of variance to personal preference in some of these control layouts. The defaults are intended to just be the best "reasonable blend" for most new players to not be overwhelmed with a super-complex UI. But, we're all for having more "options" for people to try.

An idea that just came to me reguarding android contols, why not looking at supporting samsung dex mouse and keyboard. This could also be used potentially to support and mouse and keyboard function on any android device? It would significantly help reguarding mobile controls (although controller is always the better solution till the time being).

Or as more of a short term idea (no clue ur end) but why not implement droid buttons directly into the game on android.

i know all this would take time todo but hey ideas.
