Small Cargo Suggestion
Allow extra batteries and engines to be carried as cargo. It does not effect speed/battery in any way, it's just a way of transporting the stuff between stations. Maybe weapons could be carried that way as well.....
How about combinable items instead... aka... Damaged Weapon Components + umm... AI? Control unit?... anything electronic = Repaired Weapons Components...
and Raw Ore + refinary tools = refined ore...
Things like that would be more fun right?

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of what we have already, not additional content.
Quite simply, I want to be able to move weapons, engines, and batteries between stations without re-buying them. This is more important among today's economy where the money-bug doesn't persist and money isn't infinite. When avalons and other more expensive equipment are added to the game, it will be more important to be able to transport it in an unassuming ship. (For instance, a Centurion or Valkyrie transporting an Avalon to a distant station for use. (Ooh, do I hear more diverse missions?)
/me wanders off-topic. Of course, then the temptation would be to take the avalon launcher to another station and sell it for profit, drastically lowering your karma reputation with whoever offered you the mission. The choice is yours, light or dark....
OK, people, waddayathink?

That is a really good idea, i personally have run into the problem of goods scattered across sectors because i failed to notice where iw as when i bought it, meaning to put it into a different ship which was in a different sector... that cost me alot. But anyway, it would be kool to have that option.

It would be interesting to have items become a trade commodity.
For instance, say sunflares are produced in sector 7. They would cost more in sector 5 than 7 due to the distance. This would have more effect long term when there are many sectors, but for now it might foster a player-run "black market" of sorts...
But that's random gabble at a time when the game could be scrapped. I like the idea of being able to move the eighteen heavy engines that have somehow accumulated in sector 9 to other places :P

ANY equiptment should h=be able-to be carried as cargo.. that would be sweet.. cause I have about 50 Heavy engines all over the place but whenever I die, I just build a new one because they are all in different sectors...
Not a bad idea, good for pirates also, if they pirate you (for some reason) then they could take your engine, batt, whatever then they could use it for their benefit. I wish they would let you "teleport" your items from your inventory to another station. They would have a tab that says "Teleport Items" or something like that. That would be a great way to get rid of my 7 mauds from s2 (I am WAY to LAZY to go from s2 to s18 and back to s2 and s18 again for like 7 times, just to sell 1 ship or a few). But I like SirCamps' idea.

Teleport? that is getting a little too extreme, but the devs should really think about making the ship parts transportable, to add to the quasi-realism we have now... just a thought...

You would only need to make one trip. If the 7 mauds are in 2, you go to 2 and sell em all. If they're in 18, you go to 18 and sell em all. It isn't that hard.

You DO realize you have to empty the ship before you can sell it. ;p
The whole idea is exactly the opposite of a 'teleport' system. The only way to get goods from one place to another is to send them standard freight. Period. That's why we need to be able to cart components around. (although I still think cargo should be mass based, as well as weapons)
This will be an important factor once capital ships are truly intigrated into the game and ships will need to ferry parts and technical crew between the station and the orbiting cruiser.
I also like the idea of variety in the outfits section. Certain weapons would be cheaper in certain sectors. For example, the Itani would be able to provide cheap energy weaopns, while the serco would specialize in rockets and missiles and the NT would get all the engines cheap and be the only ones who could use the fast charge battery.

ooo that was my first suggestion ever.
