Honestly mines should be layable in Corvus NFZ as well as all these other ridiculous nerfs being reversed.

Yeah, Let's go purposely sit by GreyShop so it gets sent back to Dau. Grey is meant to be DANGEROUS. it needs to stop being made SAFER for the newbs who venture out there. Warning about what lies past nation borders should be enough. Honestly things are getting morr new and less-skilled oriented, and older players are given the shit end of the stick with alot of things.

I'm not sure about removing the mine restriction, the unlimited supply of lenb's was just stupid, no matter which way you roll it. Also I lmined raybondo in the station at Odia J-9 and although he sadly did not explode due to fast reactions and godlike commands, I'm pretty sure he felt it was stupid too. (It was I who got the mine nerf done, not TGFT)
The comments "Why the hell are you doing this" and "why is this even possible" spoke volumes, also it took 0 skill to execute so no, it is not like this nerf at all - with that said though it takes a LOT of skill to suicide on someone and make them dead enough. Especially since ram damaged got all but removed, so yes.

i thought this existed already? i remember letting swas shopbot explosion kill me to tank it standings.
This is different Aryko. /exploding still counts as a pk with faction repercussions. What this does, is if you /explode in the nfz and cause damage to anything, you'll trigger a nfz violation and become tkos at that station.

Well, With the NFZ-Mine thing, LENB are still infinite, still cheap, just harder to get. Corvus alone should stop being made safer, it's one of the sole dangers in Grey. It's supposed to be lawless,not safe for anyone to lolligag around. Anyways, back to OP.
Corvus shopbots? Decent idea to mitigate it. There's always the pro/con with a fix. Then there is the carebears, but we don't talk about them. Another fix for the /explode thing is, well, when you /explode next to someone, and they dir, their death should be a "X is having issues." Rather a PK by the /explode'r.

Lawless doesn't mean exploitable, and the 42 lmines right outside docking bays was just that, an exploit. You can still shoot folk there, this did not change, so apart from lenb farming, what would bringing it back achieve? I suppose I should save that argument for another thread but there is a big difference between /exploding someone to death and lmining a station for personal gain.
I do kind of like your alternative idea though! If you rip-kill some poor unsuspecting soul, it should probably just not count as a player kill. This removes the potential exploits (PK farming is bad yo), but leaves the tactic viable for when there is no other choice.

Yeah, if a thread comes up about the mine thing, we'll discuss it there.
I am against removing /explode as a pk count/type. No one should get free kills via /explode in monitored space.
So.. to be clear, despite people claiming they submitted "evidence" of an "exploit", and leveling accusations at individuals, we did not view it that way. There was a bug, TempKoS had a race condition that caused it to not be triggered under some circumstances, and not behave as-designed. We just fixed the bug. Yay.
Shortly thereafter, it was raised via-ticket that this was causing problems for the Shops, along with the request to drop it from Corvus space. Ray and I discussed it, he implemented the change for Corvus, and pushed it out passively on Saturday.
So, by the time this thread was opened, the requested change was already in place.
Normally, I might have notified people about this, but Ray didn't tell me when it shipped, and I didn't find out until Monday.
Anyway, I welcome continued feedback on the ramifications of this change, and whether it should be tweaked in various ways, and so on. But FYI that the OP-request was in place before the thread was started..

Pro tip: if your shop bot is having trouble because people let it explode on them in the NFZ, just program it to activate turbo (or switch to FA mode and throttle up) until it's outside the NFZ, then have it explode.
