Ship skins please?
Can you dev's add a ship skin system someday? Where players can create and share their ship skins? Plus can you have a new ship skin wait period so that you can keep offensive skins out of the game? I want someone to make me an gold and silver tiger print skin someday.

Delete the space between the "[" bracket and "url" and that is how you link in BBCode.

even better, don't copy links from google, and instead copy their result, and ~then~ do what spry said ;)
Also, I think Incarnate said something about how the livery system wouldn't work with drop-in textures, I think because of all the other other mappings that go into a single ship? If anyone wants to design things for the VO devs to look at, this [likely outdated] post would help.

I'm theoretically open to doing something like this, but there are a lot of challenges. Administrative, technical, etc. Add a few thousand skins and the game download will get a bit bigger. Then you get into options for other, more efficient ways to store such things, but then that's more technologically involved.
I agree it would be neat, in some ways, but it's not super high on my priority list right now.

I am quite fond of the current livery system. Maybe 1 or 2 more like the firewasp purchaseable in-game and the rest IRL monies would suffice, but i'm not too keen on the doing-so rather just the idea.
I'd love some generic total black (blackout) skins. The Vult looks amazing completely black, I'd love to be able to black out other ships in a similar fashion.

Well maybe you should re-examine your list as this seems to be the sort of stuff people want
rather than new shaders for mobile that only freeloaders play on
you need to keep the folk that pay happy

This topic hasn't been brought up since late 2017, it dorsn't seem that high on anyones interests lately.
i'd much rather he continue what he does and slowly add content and such so we can make sure it works. Content isn't fun if it is broken, as such, that takes time. Things neat to look at but essentially useless such as this take time as well. You have to weigh your options, really.

I think Guild has been remarkably clever about how they prioritize and use their resources. Working on shaders may well have been a very savvy move to position Guild to be able to participate in an opportunity that might otherwise pass them by. They have had a number of beneficial opportunities that they can't necessarily talk about.
