Let players have a drop-down menu that lists their active characters. In the Role-playing forum, they may choose to use a character name instead of user name for signing posts. For instance, I would appear as "Serco Fighter 1," not SirCamps. This would be a lot better for role-playing discussion, no? Also, when people didn't know/remember who I was, it would've been nice to be able to be known as SF1, without recreating my account. (Note: This would only be available in the RPG forum.)

I like that idea, seeing as how it'd be nice to chat as one of my other, angrier characters...

I'd like this cause i don't exactly have the wanting of everyone to know who my characters are.

Yeah, I like the idea, because Pyroman_Ace no longer exists (he was my original char, died during the SDF Boom)and I would like to make myself [SDF] Black 1 or the like now.

And some of my less than respectable character's can remain hidden.

Same idea. Anyone remember "Unsavory Zeke" from 3.0? He was my evil character, but I never could respond on the board. :(

see what i mean? rene signs his full name, but everyone knows who i am... or at least everyone calls me io or invis when im playing, so thats what i sign by

Say, io, that you had an "invisible" character, and wanted to talk about RPG issues on the board without jeopardizing your identity. Right now it's impossible, beyond creating another account (like Kastin Thunderclaw did, but the devs have said they will ban people for that).

Anyone remember when I had the Serco Fighters going in 3.2? I couldn't respond to replies on the board because I didn't want anyone knowing who I was. No one found out, actually, until I left Vendetta.

So I say that in the Role-Playing forum, there should be a box that lets you choose which of your characters you want to appear as.

Yes but the devs have to actually know for sure that it is just one person with 2 accounts. People have brothers, sisters... and in some cases routers and multiple computers. So any 1 IP address could have 1, 2.. even 5 accounts with it still being 1 real person per account...

So, yes. This would be very useful because as of the moment as long as a person occasionaly plays both accounts, the dev's arent going to be able to catch it that easily.

Yeah, /me posting as VSE could make things a lot clearer.

ok, i see your point... as long as it was stuck to Role Playing only i would totally support it, and as you have asked that it be so, i am in full support
