For the 97 millionth time - pirate king sector is to laggy
Pretty sure that sums it up. How many ppl have to report before it gets adjusted?
Everyone seems to conveniently forget that the sector exists explicitly to test the engine. We are improving the engine, that's why that sector is the way it is.
We had the other test sectors, like the one in Latos, but no one used them, which was unhelpful for our testing purposes. So we made content that drove you to interact with the debris on a regular basis. That directly helps us improve things, and build the next-gen version of the game, by getting a sense of issues "in the wild" across very diverse hardware.
Of course, I didn't expect it to be an issue for this long. Shipping all the intended engine improvements has taken longer than expected. The beginning of the year was the plan, which certainly went awry. Android was supposed to be fixed a month ago. I attempted to delegate that, while out of town, but I was unsuccessful.
However, none of that is going to make us "adjust" the sector, because that would invalidate the point. For the moment, if it's too laggy, we suggest avoiding the sector.
As Luxen hints, this is not appropriate content for Suggestions anyway. For instance, I have no problems in the sector on my GTX1060 desktop PC. So, if it's particularly "laggy" for you, it would be best to offer a report stating exactly what kind of device/platform/drivers, on the Bugs forum. Of course, if the complaint is specific to Android, then it's probably best to just sit tight and wait another week or so, as I mention in the latest Newspost.
