When I tell the client to use Keyboard/Mouse it should stay on keyboard/mouse not keep jumping to keyboard/joystick.

It is quite aggravating that the client auto detects what it thinks is a joystick and decides oh lets use this even though the settings previously said no use the mouse. Setting config.ini to read only after manually setting doesn't seem to help.

I didn't know it did this on other platforms, if I had my suggestion months ago would have been more general.

At least give us the option to disable this feature, or honour the RO aspect of our files if we set it! There really is nothing more annoying than the controllers battery running out (especially because I cannot usually see the warning lights) or timing out then having to redo all the settings as VO thinks it knows best! Like I said in the other thread, I understand why it may do this by default - but please give us a checkbox somewhere that says "ignore device connect/disconnect" ! If needed make it pop up a box that says "If you enable this option, VO will not automatically use newly connected control devices until disabled, are you sure A/R/F?" - I would much rather sit in space defenceless for a moment while I sort my controller out than have to redo my settings (or exit VO).

My config.ini gets screwed so often, I keep a copy of it on the desktop and just drag it over to the VO directory.
