Nationalist blockades should attack everyone below admired. The blockade should be attempting to bring economic harm upon the nation they are blockading. The only ships they should be ok with, are ones admired and above. To me, it doesn't make sense that the military fleet would just allow any UIT/subfaction to fly by all willy nilly. Who knows what those guys are upto. Shoot first, and ask questions later.

(I am referring the blockades at Ukari A-10/B-5 and Edras I-2)

So, if it's a Serco blockade of Itan, then anyone Admired by Itan gets shot? And a Itan blockade of Serco makes all Serco Admired get shot?

Sure. I'd +1 that, as long as both Serco WH's are interdicted.

Remen, not quite. He's saying that if Serco blockade of Itan and you are not admired with Serco, you get shot. It's an inverse reputation check. It's not a test of whether you are the friend of my enemy, but rather are you my friend.

+1 They should attack everybody except their own loyal supporters. They're pretty ineffective though i.e. easily outrun, shouldn't they be more of a problem so that the blockaded nation actually has to do something about it in order to open up trade routes again.

They are obviously easy to get past in a good light ship, try running them with a moth full of cargoes :)

So, if I am understanding this and am UIT, I can't get Admired with either Itani or Serco and thus could not enter or leave if a blockade was in place. This is plain Bull

UIT, by the story, are Traders and Suppliers for both Itani and Serco. How can this be accomplished if we are not able to enter their space at times and at other times could be trapped in them.

Now, if you wanted to change it to be above Nertral with said nation, that would still be a pain, but it would permit UIT to enter/leave and complete our roll as the Traders/Suppliers of the Verse.

Why would the Itani let UIT traders,who plan to deliver much needed supplies to the Itani's enemy, through the blockade?

The only none admired standing that would be fair would be +600 respect (which is what is needed to buy nation specific ships like the SVG and IBG). If a pilot attains that standing with one nation, the highest they can be with the other waring nation is hate.

Maybe the blockade would only let through certain things? The Itani would probably let through things like humanitarian aid and food, but wouldn't let through a shipment of weapons.

The serco however would probably let nothing through.

I think Itani would let UIT traders in because yes, while there's a chance a UIT trader is supplying things to their enemies, that trader is probably also supplying things to Itani.
If UIT traders have to be Admired or above, that means we have to pick a side in the conflict and are no longer neutral. The purpose of UIT is that it's neutral to both sides.

This doesn't make much sense to me.

Why would a nation's military attack an individual Respected by that nation?
