list weapons firing range
I'll like to see the weapons firing range in the station. And optimal firing range wouldn't hurt either.
You mean in the weapon description when you go to buy it? That would probably be a good idea, at least for the maximum range.
Maximum range at what speed? Problem with this suggestion is all weapons have a better range the faster they are fired, and also a less of a range when fired backwards or stationary. I suppose the range could be worked out from stationary and go from there, but could lead to errors.
The weapons work on a time basis, not range. The time a single missile or rocket lives is already displayed as "Lifetime" and I think this should be added for blasters too. For example the Plasma HX shots last longer than a Neutron blaster shot, but due to a neuts faster speed may actually have more range, especially when fired with some forward velocity. (which is why backrollers never seem to hit)

I believe that a most weapon's range is based on projectile time in air.
A weapon could list flight time.
While missiles have fixed absolute speed, so that their absolute range is relatively fixed, most other projectiles are relative to the speed of the ship that fired it, so that the absolute range is highly variable.
I think that currently most energy projectiles have a flight time of 3 seconds, and some, 6 seconds.
edit: yoda: n2 ~600m, HX ~1000m

Yeah, I think that is what I said, for an English person I really need to work on my English heh - Regardless I think we are on the same page, so
+1 to a blasters "lifetime" being listed!

+1 to lifetime of blasters
