List missing descriptions and let community write them
Organize a list of things/ships/factions etc. that are missing descriptions and lets as a community write them up for the devs. Some that come to mind are Axia, Aeolus, Tung, I kinda remember there being a few items that are missing descriptors as well. We all know this is a big game and a big job for two developers, Let's try to organize a space on the forum dedicated to patching up the little bits of missing lore. A lot of people on these forums know A LOT about the lore and backstory of VO and it wouldnt be too hard for us as a collective to write up these descriptors.
The ultimate goal being helping the devs, rather then working against them. I know I am as guilty or more guilty then anyone of this in many peoples eyes, however, lets set aside our differences and help these guys with little bits of polish. Perhaps this would help bring the community together in someway? Perhaps working together on some small projects will help reduce the hate and toxicity some of us feel towards each other.
Inc is correct. This is a MASSIVE job for two people. As he has said. We as a community need to realize that all this exploiting and glitching and the time spent reporting it takes away from development time and hurts the progress of the game we all love so much.
On a personal note - to those who feel I've personally attacked you outside the realm of what is reasonable in a a pvp game I am truely sorry. Lets see if we can start working together outside the verse, to build towards more friendly competition in the verse.

Thanks Ebonstar - I appreciate this effort.
That would definitely be helpful, thanks much.
Things we can help with:
Faction descriptions:
Axia Technology Corp
Tunguska Heavy Mining Concern
Aoelus Trading Prefectorate
Ineubis Defense Research
Weapons Descriptions:
Lightning Mine Launcher
Power Cell Blaster

Perhaps that's a job for the PCC?
Come to think of it, maybe Incarnate could come up with a list of things the PCC can do that would be useful, beyond playing with the mission editor. Like things he specifically wants tested. I know I'd be glad to test break some stuff. Actually I'd enjoy the hell out of it.

+1
So, the weapon descriptions would be a great start.
As for testing, it'd be interesting to hear feedback on the 300 drones-in-Latos thing, really having some people spend some time in there and talk about what happens.

Ok I'll try and break that 300 drones thing, where would you like the results? Forum, Email, Support ticket? I would appreciate a little guidance on that. Also, I do have some older hardware laying around, stuff near the stated minimum system requirements. I was going to put it together for playing some older games anyway, would you like testing results of VO on that old crap?
It's not really the system-specs that are very important, mostly just.. feedback on how it works, and maybe what doesn't work? I'm not sure exactly.
The most interesting insights we've had from testing are usually from me "messing around with stuff" and then finding emergent issues or challenges (or benefits?).
Like I discovered I can kill the 300 bots just by flying around them, without firing a shot. I dunno, that was interesting to know.
I don't specifically have a channel for this kind of "testing", so just make a Suggestions thread, I guess, with like "Testing Result: 300 drones in Latos" or whatever. That might motivate other people to join in as well?

New insight into killing the hydra?
Interesting, so friendly fire is bad for bots, too. :-D

Should we start by compiling a list of addons that lack descriptions? What would be the best way to go about that? Maybe inc can make a stickied post somewhere that we comment on with item names and they are added to the op as we go?
Yea they are subject to friendly fire, I used to kill collectors that way for amusement, dodging around one that is mining, tricking the one trying to kill me into killing it's pal. I will say they bunch up WAY too too much when in numbers that large.
I would suggest giving them a 'population density limit' of X bots per Y cubic meters. I don't know what kind of crazy chain reaction that would cause with their current path finding abilities, or lack thereof.
I did try stuffing a bunch of gunners in a behemoth and taking them on. I found I could still clear the sector, though I have no way to count the number of bots in a sector. As such I don't know if just the normal 300 showed up or if 1200 showed up as I intended.

The sector only spawns (up to) 300 bots, it isn't 300-per-player :).

Sure, that sounds useful? And then suggesting descriptions, I guess? I'm not sure that a sticky is needed, as long as I know where to look for the thread.

As a suggestion, this is the correct forum.
As for actual implementation, it perhaps should deserve a separate thread in Community Projects
Please stay on topic, Incarnate
