>thread is literally titled "Request For Comments - On Toxicity and the Future of our Community "
>literally every post above mine is someone adding some aspect of things they don't like
>10 posts about piracy
>inc: lets just talk about chat functions
>inc again: "YoU'rE jUsT aNgStY aNd NaIvE"
>also inc: This has led some to believe that we "never enforce the Rules of Conduct" (RoC), but that isn't true. We just usually do it quietly behind the scenes, to lessen visible drama, and while also giving people some degree of leeway in expressing themselves, before stepping in and being authoritarian.
Gets muted after one factually correct (to anyone that actually plays the game anyway) comment, even though you asked for comments on player toxicity.
"But, that all being said, things have changed. For one thing, there are the obvious personal attacks and generally bad behaviour, which have become far too commonplace, and those definitely need a way to be addressed more quickly." Yes, except you don't actually do this ingame, where it's actually needed.

Nick, you were threadmuted because in this post:

I feel that half these problems wouldn't even exist if players like you know who [ :) ] left the game, or if the game had some form of moderation other than abuse tickets and "Okay we'll look into it". The older player base is toxic, but the player base is not the only one at fault here.
You used the player's name instead of "you know who". I edited out the name and left an explanation that including the name was not conducive to the discussion (you removed my edit later, which was unnecessary and provocative, and I will speak to the devs about making that impossible for threadmutes).
I did this because you violated the "Be Nice" policy:
"These forums do not exist to provide a place for people to level nasty, personal attacks against other individuals or guilds."
I took no other action at that time.
Then you made a new post right below the old post, with an up arrow and the player's name again. I then threadmuted you because you again violated policy:
"Edits - When possible, admins will try to edit your post, to sanitize out any bad language, inappropriate embedded image links, or negative/attacking behavior, while hopefully retaining any other informative value your post might have. This should be considered a warning. It is not an excuse to complain about the admin, or call them a "nazi". They have taken the extra time to be as minimally invasive as they can, and preserve what they could of your post. Don't make them repeat that process constantly, I'll be inclined to just ban you from that forum.
...
Thread Mutes - If you keep violating the basic strictures of the rules above and the Rules Of Conduct on a given thread (for instance, posting repeated personal attacks), you may just be muted on that thread. This will prevent your account from posting and replying any further on that particular thread. It will also be brought to the attention of the development staff, and repeated thread-mutes will be evaluated as reasons to mute someone on a given forum entirely, or kick them off the messageboard as a whole, or other (more severe) action."
I did advise Incarnate of your actions (and mine).
Yours was toxic behavior, and your original post on this thread is dishonest. You are part of the problem.
