Raise the crystal limit of f2p
It's nice that VO is free on mobile. But, after you max out at 4/4/4/4/4 your only allowed 20 crystals a day. This really hinders the experience depending on what the player is doing. If they like combat, the corvult is 6 crystals I think? Which is a good portion of the players daily limit. Overall the general jist of what I'm trying to say is that VO can be very dangerous for new players or unsubbed players, and it's pretty easy to lose ships. Currently 20 is extremely low and only allows for a few ships worth flying.
If you reach license 4 and you still keep playing it means you are enjoying the game and you should consider subbing.
IL: how to go about convincing f2p players to make the jump to subscription if not by limiting their experience?
I believe you get 50% more crystal each day when you have a lite account.
Time-vs-money tradeoffs are the most common way to derive revenue from Freemium games. Even if the player isn't driven to a "premium sub", which may be a pretty elevated expectation for most mobile-market players, what motivation do they have to ever purchase packs of Crystals, if they don't really need them?
We maintain graphs of the amount of crystal generated, purchased and spent, per unit time (per hour, per day, per week). The amount generated is far higher than the amount spent. We also maintain a rolling average of the amount of stored Crystal per-login.. and it's pretty substantial.
There's always value to more analytics, more data and deeper dives on which cohorts of players are doing/spending what, and where, and why. But the current data does not indicate a shortage of Crystal, on average.

-1
You didn't mention how much the increase should be. If it were like the gem limits for lite subs, do you really think an extra 10 crystals will improve anything?
If it's in the range of 50-100, why would anyone bother subbing. It's already been established that f2p ships compete with ships of subbed players.

Okay. Fair enough
I mean, while I somewhat agree, -1. If I drop my sub, I have over 900 crystals from when I was free to play, as well as a small army worth of ships. I just didn't die that much. Then again I didn't pvp a whole lot, but still.
